Just so ppl know these are counterfeit Costa’s because there is no etched C 580 in the lens. However I’m giving a 4star review because they are very comfortable. I still have to see if they’re polarized but for cost they are made really well. I not disappointed. But remember they r Fake!! UPDATE:: I used these in Florida to fish in ocean uuhhh the lenses are CRAP! I had to go buy some $19.99 Fishing sunglasses at Walmart bcuz the polarized is a low quality! The product was delivered with no noticeable packing damage. A close inspection of the glasses, revealed one lens had a 1/2" crack extending from top of the frame, & no official "Costa" decals adhered to the lenses as with purchases from Costa authorized dealers. Contacted the seller regarding the problem. Resolution was delayed by rhetorical responses from seller. Refund issued promptly from seller only after claim filed. ... show more

After owning these for only four months, one of the nose cushions fell off. Trying to get a replacement has been such a pain. On hold forever with their customer service number, not available for purchase on their website. They will not send me or let me purchase a nose pad via mail. Their new "warranty" process requires I sent multiple pictures, proof of purchase and takes 45 minutes to walk thru. Next I have to drive to post office, wait in line, buy a box and send the glasses back to Costa. What a pain and hassle for something so simple. I wouldn't recommend buying Costas sunglasses again. ... show more

    • Ridiculously awesome lenses
These lenses (580G Glass Copper) on a bright day feel like eyeball butter. Everything looks so so so clear and crisp. Matches the hype. I've compared a lot of lenses, including my Maui Jims. These Costas are the best lenses I've ever seen. As far as Costa goes, unless you're fishing, the Copper is far better for me at least. Buy these sunglasses, get glass, get Copper. The lenses are 5 star -1 star for the cheap frame, it feels like cheap gas station glasses. -1 star for not staying on ur head. They are secure on your face, but if you push them up when you go indoors they will fall off with any vertical movement of your head.

    • Fake/clone or older design?

I'll start by saying I accidentally ordered two of these instead of a single pair. I was charged $169 for one of them and $188 for the other. They are the same style (Harpoon HR 11 Blue 580P) but they are different. The white "Harpoon HR 11" lettering on the inside of the right arm are different sizes. The hinges are also completely different. One pair(what i believe is authentic $188) has half of the hinge covered up where they mount to the frame and the other is completely exposed. The pair that has the hinge exposed creeks when you open and close them and fit a little bigger. The "580P" engraved in the lense is different aswell. On the authentic the engraving is slightly italicized and closer to the frame. The grips on the end of the arms are also different. The authentic pair only has the rubber on the inside while the other has it going through the arm and showing on both sides. I'm not sure if I received two items from different batches/older and it was slightly changed (hence the reason they were a little cheaper) or if I have received a fake/cloned product. I'll be sending the cheaper pair back for a return since I ordered two by mistake. I'm 100% happy with the authentic but I'll be leaving three stars because both products were different from each other. ... show more

Great pair of Costas at a discounted price. Older model (HR-10s) than what you could buy at a Bass Pro or something, but considering it's a pair of sunglasses and not much has changed from the older frames to now (I actually like the 10s over the 11s, but that's personal preference), it was a great bargain. I've also got a pair of Harpoons with blue glass lenses that are noticeably heavier than the plastic, so there's always that consideration. Great utility glasses, fabulous fly fishing glasses, still the best looking pair of Costas on the market. The metal hinges beat the heck outta the cheap plastic junctions on the fathoms/brines (these guys will break with heavy use on the water/maybe it's just my big head). Everything arrived in a timely fashion and in great shape. Great experience! ... show more

Cuz they're not worth 1/5 of what they ask. Plastic lens painted on mirror finish that scratches waaaaay too easy. They might have made a good product back in the day..... that ship has sailed. same plastic lens and just as good polarization available anywhere (WM) for $25.
