Bought these glasses specifically for fishing as I needed to be able to sight-fish while fly fishing in Colorado. I've always been hesitant to purchase high end glasses because i either break or lose them constantly. These stay in my pack and they are the best glasses i've ever worn. They are super comfortable, have great polarization, are not too dark, and keep outside light to a minimum when scoping fish. I've had a pair of Costa 580p glasses in the past and the 580G is a much better product, though there is a noticeable weight difference.

These glasses are awesome!! The clarity on the water is hands down the best and the fit is really nice also. I normally would have my Oakley’s and other glasses I wear while out fishing fogging up due to the humidity. However because of the vented system this does not happen. The hard case and cleaning cloth are just as high quality as the glasses. I highly recommend and I will by another pair when needed.!!

I have been wearing Costas for over 20 years. I started out using them for blue water fishing and boating, being recommended by one of my old mentor boat captns. Their many frame configurations make it easy to fit most all faces, applications, and tastes - but their concentration on providing absolute clarity, UV filtering, and optical light handling within your choice of lense coatings - has placed them far above any sunglass manufacturer competing for the same marketshare. I have both glass and polycarbonate versions using the 580 type proprietary coating on similar frames - and both remain scratchless and optically perfect - despite years of use - on the water - as well as doubling as my favorite “drivers” on the road. Their price seems a bit steep at first, but if you want serious eyewear that allows your selection of the aesthetic, filtering, color, reflectiveness, lense coating, frame style, and size properties- who else even offers all that - with a warranty? Sure, you can even pay 2-3 times more for some dark lenses in fancy frames with “Ferrari” (or some other high-end auto name) inscribed on the frame. But it is in the lense where nearly everything important to performance actually happens. Costa Del Mar has proven their deeper understanding in design, and styling by perfecting eyewear for those with the highest demands on performance, regardless of their sport, passion, and environmental surroundings. If you are not familiar with Costa - My advice is to find a local big box store (such as “West Marine” or others) that has a LARGE Costa Del Mar display case - filled with their many styles. If you haven’t noticed, there are actually many retailers that have such on display for your perusal. Try on pairs until you find YOURS. Then write down its name, properties, and desired lens attributes (each pair has a descrption of those - (or you can go to the CDM website to learn the many selectable options). Finally - assemble your full description and frame style requirements and return to Amazon to buy your selection. Then you will have precisely what you want in a pristine, (never before tried-on) fully custom-specified pair of the finest shades that current technologies can manufacture. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

These are very durable and easy to pop lenses. I had another pair I broke sail fishing after 6 years but glass prescription lenses were still good. I bought these and popped the lenses out of new frames under warm water and put my glass prescription back in within minutes.

This is my second pair of the exact same sunglasses. The last pair got broken after they were stood on. I really like these glasses as they truly cut down all glare and reflections. The lenses are glass so there is zero distortion. My only complaint is that the legs are a bit wide at the end which makes it a bit harder to get a lanyard to fit them.
