    • Basic frame chassis for six cards.
For the longest time, I've been using a basic mATX case with my GPU's zip-tied to an overhead rack, and it got the job done, but took up a lot of unnecessary space. I've wanted one of these for a while, but at the height of mining, they were going for crazy amounts of money. Although this says 6/8 GPU, I didn't feel comfortable loading it up with more than 6 RX580 cards. Using some case fans I had lying around, I was able to mount those and get some decent airflow going. The edges on some of the pieces were a little rough, though. And I think I would have preferred if the end that supported the back of the GPU's had been rubberized, if not slotted. But otherwise, this is cheaper and cleaner than hanging everything off of a rack with zip ties. ... show more

This mining rig rack works exactly as intended. It can hold up to 8 GPUs but I would highly suggest keeping it to 6 for proper airflow (or even 4 if you have large GPUs like the 30xx series). It has a middle column that you can or cannot use depending on your preferences. At the moment, mine is out of commission while I scour the local scene for more used GPUs, but this is a solid mining rig for a great price! It's not the highest quality, but for under $30 it does exactly what you need it to do -- and that's get your GPUs enough airflow to keep the temps in check while they are mining! ... show more

    • Great for open air test bed computer setup
I didn't really get this for crypto-mining. I liked the open-air design which I used for a test-bed computer. I can quickly connect/disconnect components for testing purposes. With this setup I can quickly test: - drives - video cards - power supplies
