Im a construction worker, Ive been using paint sprayers for years. Ive used everything from the old fashioned hand pumped models to the latest and greatest high tech electric ones so I would consider myself kinda an expert on the subject. I like this paint sprayer. Its lightweight, portable, and easy to use. This is a huge advantage over the old fashioned hand pumped models, which can be heavy and cumbersome. It also provides a great finish, even on heavily textured ceilings which is what I used it for. If youre a beginner its good too because its so easy to use. It comes with a clear and concise manual that breaks everything down and makes it easy to set up and operate. Some things to keep in mind when using a sprayer like this is its best used for small to medium sized projects. Its important to thin your paint properly before using the sprayer. Be sure to wear gloves, goggles, and a respirator when using the sprayer. And the most important thing to ensuring your sprayer keeps functioning properly is to clean the sprayer thoroughly after each use. I really like using this sprayer because its compatible with my DeWalt 20v batteries that I always have on hand and are already with me on a job site. I think its a good paint sprayer overall.     • Drains the battery and consistently jams!!
This was a waste of money, honestly. It drains the battery in 30 minutes so you barely can even paint. By the time you recharge the battery, the paint that couldn’t be cleaned out has hardened and then it’s jammed. I spent more time figuring out how to get this unjammed, than I did actually painting my walls. I would not recommend, just rent a paint gun from Home Depot. ... show more

    • Great for small Areas
This is very convenient and easy to use for small areas. Note I did have to do 3 coats because the spray isn't as smooth as I like it. Wish there was a way to attach it to the bucket for bigger jobs like decks and fences.

    • Exceeded my expectations
This gun and I did not get off to a good start. I found that it is quite sensitive to small solid particulates. To filter, I simply use two sink drain screens stacked up. That seems to do the trick... just rinse them out and they're ready for the next pour. The spray pattern is very good and very adjustable. I've been spraying decking semi transparent stain and it is quite thick; no dilution is necessary. It is a brushed motor (sounds like a Dust Buster) and may go through your 2Ah batteries quickly during projects (but also help with arm fatigue). It's well worth the $50. ... show more

    • Get what you pay for.
Since this tool uses air with a basic fan like you'd find in a heat gun it's not very accurate and the paint tends to splatter a lot by the time you get it to pass the paint test for viscosity. I could only recommend for jobs where precision is not a key requirement. I may use it to apply deck stain and treatment solutions going forward but that's about it otherwise I might have just thrown it away. ... show more

Very nice. My husband is using it to spray paint his tree stand. No cords dewalt battery fit great. He can do this job wear he has it set up compact and light to carry out in the woods.

My fault for not paying attention. It doesn't come with the battery. It also doesn't have a battery purchase option and not every 20v is the same and most cost more than the sprayer. Huge waste of money. In the trash it goes

    • Great little sprayer!
This is one efficient little work horse. I had to spray a LONG fence. This sprayer worked evenly and perfectly for the entire length of the fence on one Dewalt battery. So glad I bought this instead of a pricier model!
