It provides exceptional traction for all weather conditions. The CS5 Grand Touring is designed for a long-lasting comfortable quiet ride in a wide range of sizes for most sedans, SUVs and CUVs. The tread compound gives the CS5 Grand Touring superior wet handling, shortens stopping distance and lowers rolling resistance for improved fuel mileage. The specially designed 3D Micro-Gauge sipes stabilize the tread elements by interlocking them together to maximize surface contact. This additional surface contact and increased number of biting edges greatly improves traction in wet and light snow conditions. The asymmetric tread design of the CS5 Grand Touring is engineered to deliver a smooth and quiet ride in all weather conditions.

We've been replacing our tires with this brand for years. You can go into a brick & mortar business and find similar alternatives (other Cooper brands) but we prefer THIS (CS5) tire. They look good and ride great! You can't beat the price. Can't honestly think of a drawback other than the inconvenience of not having them, instantly, but patience is a virtue. They ride quiet and handle well. After about 60-70,000 miles, they stretch and start leaking along the rims and give TPMS alarms. Re-seating the replacing the valve stems didn't help. Hitting potholes hard would drop the tire pressure slightly. Also, if you are stopped over gravel and you begin to roll with your tires spinning a few feet before you reach a dry pavement to grip, you will loose a little air pressure. When the tires were new, they didn't loose any pressure. I have used three identical sets of the same tire and got the same results. A well-known premium tire costs about 25% more for a set and doesn't last longer. ... show more

    • 40k mile tire, but I still like it. Quiet when at the correct pressure, loud when over pressurized.
2006 Prius with close to 400,000 miles on it. I buy these 2 at a time and see about 40k out of them when mounted on the front. Close to 60k on the back. I don't rotate tires. I've been using them for 2 years. I just look at my purchase history. I buy 2 tires every 10 months. I drive about 1000 miles a week. Sat 450 miles, Sunday 450 miles, then about 100 miles during the week. My driving is highway at 75 mph just about everywhere. My wife has a 2007 Prius. She drives about the same as me, maybe 800 miles a week. She runs the same tires. We both really like them. Never had a failure. But they aren't going to give you 80k. We like the ride and how quiet they are, assuming you keep them at the right pressure. I can always tell when they are 40 PSI because they get loud. 35 psi they are quiet. That's my opinion. We have gone through 4 1/2 full sets between both of our cars in 2 years. One tire wore faster because of an alignment problem. Fixed the alignment, and the next one wore the same as all the others. ... show more

The dealer where I take my car for service, it isn't the same as my car maker and doesn't carry the tire size I needed. But at least if I brought them the tires, they'd mount them. So I did some research and Cooper tires are rated #5 and affordable. Plus these are 80,000-mile tires. What a deal!!

These tires are better than the hankook tires I was buying for my escape. They ride better and absorb bumps better. The high mileage rating was also a plus since I drive around 28k a year. Would buy these again.

I have been buying Cooper tires for 30 years. Never been dissatisfied. These tires will be no different. They have a good deep tread that will last for many years. Just put them on a 2000 camry with all new suspension and control arms. 205/65R15 94T
