I definitely read the reviews first, and I still wasn’t 100% sure if I should’ve ordered 9 1/2 or 10 but to be safe I went with 10 because I needed a good sturdy shoe for a photo shoot this Saturday. I may have been able to get by with the next size down because these are a bit loose (SN: I have wide feet, this is still a huge win) and I need to really tighten the laces to be confident in my movements. Not the shoes fault, I love these either way and I’m sure when I’m not doing photos I can wear them happily without tightening them. I wouldn’t say these have an arch support, but are cushioned well. Much more comfortable than traditional chucks. As a mother in my late 20s these shoes are going to be great for on the go, and still offer me the support my ankles and feet need. I’ve always loved my chucks and these are no exception. They are both sturdy and flexible. Can be worn as a slip on or take the time to tighten. Perfect for me! ... show more

I wear a 9 1/2 - 10 in pretty much all shoes, which makes a great fit almost impossible. I normally size down because I hate my big feet (shocker). I got these in a 9 1/2 and they fit as expected. I have to wear a thin sock. Naturally, I assume they aren't going to stretch since the toe box is made of rubber, so if you are in-between sizes and want a very comfortable fit, size up. If you are willing to accommodate with a very thin sock, size down. As for their authenticity, my opinion is that they are. I know its a running commentary among reviewers so I wanted to give my opinion. Also, I'm 56 and take sneaker advice from my 19 year old niece, who told me high top converse are the hip (my words not hers) sneaker for 2019-2020... because they're classics. I knew I couldn't pull off high tops without looking like "whatever happened to Baby Jane" so I went for the mid top and love them. ... show more

I left the shoe laces loose to be sure of the fit first. Then I decided I’m keeping these babies! May the Lord give me many steps to take in them! I really do love them.
