I wear 8s and wides when available. So I expected this shoe to be too narrow and ordered a half size bigger to compensate and with this shoe it works because of the high top. The high top can tighten around the ankle, keeping my foot from sliding forwards into the extra space above my toes. Extra space because my feet fit the width, but not the length. I enjoy having space to wiggle my toes! I highly suggest this for anyone with a wide foot to up half a size. I'm an 8 and 8 1/2s fit great. Last but not least, I wanted a flat shoe for weight lifting, specifically squats and deadlifts and this is the cheapest and best thing besides barefoot. Plus well known big time power lifters use chucks over angled weight lifting shoes. If I was going to wear for fashion I'd add a Superfeet Green, highest arch (normals and not wides). I do with all my other shoes I normally wear. Arch support saved my ankle, legs, and lower back from being sore. ... show more

I saw reviews saying these were knock-offs after I already bought them and I was worried they'd fall apart like what seems to happen to other customers. I have to say though, these are really good knock-offs at that, well constructed and look exactly the same except for a few tell-tale signs (namely the lack of tm on the logo). I wear these all the time, they're my casual shoe of choice. I'm not afraid to walk in dirt/ gravel and these babies are hanging in there about the same as real converse. They fit the same and for the most part feel the same. I can't justify the price because it's still too pricey for fake converse; if you're a real stickler for quality and label you should probably buy direct from their website to avoid knock-offs. Classic chucks...they never fail! I have two pair of these myself and bought these pair for my fiancee. She likes them and so do I. They're quite comfortable for being thin around the sides (traditional for this style). You can always throw in some shoe inserts to add comfort. What I always do, and did here, was bought a 1/2-1 size bigger. They usually run a little narrow so if there is no wide-size available, just order a size up. ... show more

I loved this chucks, but they fell apart with in a month which is a total bummer. I don't know if I'll be buying another pair.

Shoes were in perfect new condition and fit just as I remembered from the last pair of Converse Hi Tops. I usually wear a women's 8 1/2; the size 8 B(M) Chuck Taylor Hi Top fits perfectly.
