Classic Chuck Taylor converse! I highly recommend ordering a size down from your normal shoe size. I put down fits as expected because these are my go to shoes, and by now I know how they fit. I will break down my 4 star rating on the basis of quality and conformity to my needs. I will start with the positives: these shoes are excellent for weightlifting, particularly squatting and deadlifting. If you are deciding whether to buy these for lifting, get them. They also seem to have zero heel-toe drop, which I think qualifies them as good minimalist shoes. I personally have never had problems with my arches or feet, and I've ran 4 miles on pavement in a broken in pair, and had no problems whatsoever (it was a really great run actually!). I used to run around 1 mile 6 days a week in them, and did not have any injuries until the running plan changed by drastically increasing the pace with no warm-up (sports team). I then sustained an overuse injury in my knee which I foolishly trained through 3 months with. Now for the negatives: In my opinion, these shoes should never cost more than $40. They wear out in about 6-8 months of daily use, particularly in the exterior side where the shoe bends as the ball of your foot pushes off the ground during normal walking. Again, I do wear these shoes every day, and heavy lifting plus biking may be considered much more intense than the average person. Still, a shoe which was originally a basketball shoe ought to hold up a little better. Finally, my biggest concern, the grip. These shoes start of with not-so-good grip, and by the time they are ready to be replaced, you will find yourself slipping on many low friction surfaces (particularly wet floors). Be cautious about this. Honestly, if these shoes had really good grip I could overlook the wear they experience, and give an honest 5 star rating. However, given all the factors, I am willing to give a 4/5 because I am biased (I think they are really a 3.5/5). Hope this helps, and perhaps the manufacturers will see this and implement changes!
