My daughter and I loved these shoes so much, she wanted a pair. She loves these more than the high top version she got previously. They are great shoe and versatile. I used to wear converse style shoes all the time when I was in high school, so it was fun to get another pair again. They fit comfortable, and felt true to size to me. Although a lot of people are saying they are not true to size. Because of that, my daughter and I bought the wrong sizes twice. So it confuses me why so many people are saying the sizing is off. So I am throwing my two cents in for that reason. My feet are about a 7 (one foot is a little longer than the other) and normal width. I'm not overweight nor extremely thin. I ordered the womens 7/ mens 5 and they feel just right. My daughter also ordered the size most closest to her foot size and she said they fit better than the other two pair we tried to over/under compensate with. Good luck!

Converse has been making this - I dunno but a long time. I had a pair in high school in 1968. The ones I just bought could have come out of a time capsule - quality is very good, they are durable and the price is reasonable compared to most popular athletic shoes.

Not for running, not for walking, just a shoe. They are comfortable with a reliable fit in sizing. They run large (as women's size). Normally, I need a 7.5 in any other athletic-type shoe. With these I wear a men's 5/women's 7 and still have a bit of room in the toe, which is perfect. The construction is sturdy for a lightweight shoe and holds up under at least moderate wear. Definitely going to continue to buy these shoes as long as they keep making them!!!

I got the all black size 7 low tops in Men's for my Women's size 9 feet. I quite like my shoes! I use them everywhere as my main shoe--working out, going to classes, and going out. I purchased these back in August primarily for strength training, and they've held up quite well. Pros: * Super comfortable! I've never had shorter shoes like these that didn't irritate my heels, but from the start, my heels are just fine. * Honestly, they just look great. Except with some of my flared pants, they go with everything I own. * Perfect for my strength training workouts. I take them off when doing an exercise like planking, but for squats, they're fantastic. You really need flat-soled shoes for strength training, and these fit the bill perfectly! Cons: * I ride a motorcycle daily, and the bottoms of these are getting rubbed away from my sorta-spiky pegs. As a result, they've lost some of their grip. * One of the eyelets was defected when I got them. I don't notice a difference in wear, but up-close, you can definitely see it. * Because of my use level, the sides where my feet "bend" are starting to come up. If you modify your use, I'm sure you can prevent it or slow the deterioration. But that kind of thing should be expected of Chucks. * The shoes are a little long. While it was noticeable when I first got them, it really isn't now (several months later). My feet are of average size for a size 9 I believe, and while the width is perfect, the length is off by about an inch. Don't let the extended cons list deter you. These shoes are fantastic if they fit your feet right. However I'm unsure if, with my motorcycle pegs, these shoes will last a year. I'll definitely buy them again when they break on me.

I bought these for my granddaughter for Christmas. She plays softball. When she unwrapped she said she had tried them on at a local store to be sure they would fit. I text her this morning & she said they are a perfect fit & she loves them! They arrived in plenty of time too.

I searched for women's converse and it comes up in the women's fashion, however the sizing is men's sizing with no notation of this. I needed a women's 9, got a men's 9 (women's 11). So, now I have to pay for a return shipping fee, had to order direct from converse and pay expedited shipping because of the timing. Very frustrating experience and definitely terrible labeling/marketing on the amazon sellers page. I shouldn't lose money when purchasing a pair of shoes, but I have and I am not thrilled about that.
