I bought these shoes since I was looking for something light weight and nimble to use for running/parkour and sparring. At first I was hesitant, because all I could find was that punkish god-awful black and white color scheme and a bunch of neon colors. When I found these I thought they looked good being a solid color, so after much hesitation I placed my order. When they got here I tried them on, broke them in for a week, and now I feel confident in writing this review in saying that these shoes are very good at what they are designed to be. Light, conforming, and well built shoes. I haven't been on a run in a couple of years because my normal footwear is 14" boots or cheap sandals. When running, there is almost no weight on your feet, so it feels like running in socks or Japanese tabi shoes. The rubber soles feel incredibly secured to the rest of the shoe. The traction on grass is a little below average, due to the depth and shape of the pattern. But on pavement, this doesn't matter too much. The laces are a little easy to undue with a half wrap, but wrapping the knot fully around the first loop should prevent this while still allowing you to pull the string out. Lastly, putting them on is a bit of a pain due to the fact that the body is made of cotton. I have to loosen the strings a lot more than I'm used to get them on, but they all tighten back up really quickly once it's on. I have used them in a martial arts setting also, and they performed especially well. You have the protection of a regular shoe against sticker burrs and weeds without the weight of a tennis shoe. You can turn on a dime and move your feet as if you were bare footed. The only complaint here is that my feet are a bit wide and sometimes I fear twisting my ankle, but this can be remedied by making sure the string is tight down the length of your foot. All in all, this shoe surprised me with how well it's made and it's light-weighted nature. I'd definitely recommend for anyone in any kind of sport involving agility and emphasis on footwork where your feet don't necessarily need to be overly protected (football and hiking require more foot protection than these offer). And the color scheme if this particular model isn't overly atrocious like most other Converse. I like these shoes, quite a bit. As for interactions with the seller, there were none other than the Amazon order confirmation, Amazon shipping notification, and a separate thank you email from the seller themselves. Shipped within 24 hours of placing the order.

This review is for Converse Men's Chuck Taylor All Star Sneakers... Amazon mixes up reviews all the time, so folks please label your reviews like this. In contrast to the Chinese Chucks these Vietnamese Chucks have held up well... I've only had to glue them once, and only in a few places, whereas the Chinese Chucks basically fell apart... glued them three times, the tongues are falling out of them, I guess I'll have to glue the tongues back in too. Check the country of origin!

fr feel like these are a lot easier to get on than others i have, very comfy n come true to size, overall really good shoes. had to pull on the laces a bit because the laces were a lil small, but super nice shoes !! :D

Got these shoes a few years ago, first pair of converse so i decided to go with the classic white high tops. Best decision i’ve ever made. These shoes have been through so much since then, I went through all of senior year of high school with them, i graduated in these shoes, i fell in love in these shoes, i broke up with my first love in these shoes, i went to college 500 miles from home in these shoes, i learned to skateboard and boarded around campus all year in these shoes, i traveled to oregon, colorado, tennessee, north carolina, and more in these shoes, i found my current love in these shoes, and now they’ve come to the end of their life. Sidewall delaminating from the bottom, toe piece delaminating from the fabric, big rips in the side of the fabric, three different pairs of laces (all of which ripped/burned by skateboarding at some point), and the bottom rubber so soft and thin i can feel pine needles through it. Not to mention they became very dark and stained by hundreds of activities, they’ve got dirt from nearly a half a dozen states in them. And if i’m being honest, i’m still gonna wear them occasionally when i need shoes i’m not worried about, the reason i’m getting new ones is because i don’t want them to completely fall apart, and one puddle will make them wet for a week. Obviously, if you’ve read this far, you can expect that i’m getting the exact same pair again. I ended up spending most of my time in red laces, so i got the same style in navy blue, because i like that i can wrap them around my ankles. They’re vsudo 71” laces, i recommend them. I’ve never gotten any comments that i should have worn nicer shoes, anyone who ever says anything will comment on the deep character that the shoes convey. TL;DR these shoes have been through hell and back, life has given them everything it’s got and they’ve walked right over it. Highly recommend if you want a shoe that can do nearly anything and last you long enough.
