Love Of My Life (Sorry, I'm A Cheater)
For a while, my pride and joy has been a pair of Adidas Stan Smiths, specifically the purple holographic ones with a green shift and rhinestones on the back. They have been upstaged by these Chucks and I am somewhat ashamed of my infidelity. I never knew much about Chucks and what the big deal was, but I saw these and they were a good price, so I had to have them and finally ordered my first pair. I tend to be attracted to all things sparkly and shiny, so this is a natural fit for me. The shoe is a fairly comfortable skateboard shoe. The caveat is if you have foot problems you will need to make adjustments. I have RA and have developed plantar fasciitis in both feet, so my feet can be especially picky about shoes when they are actively inflamed. The sole on these shoes are quite thin and remind me of the New Balance All Coasts 210s (comfortable, true-to-size shoe; thin sole). I wish the sole were more akin to the Adidas Stan Smiths, so it wouldn't be so miserable when I step on a rock. If you really like these shoes, it is worth the money to invest in some inserts or orthotics if the sole is too thin for your needs, you need arch support, or need some other modification. I bought a $1 pair of insoles and it helped some, but I will buy a few more and just stack them on top of one another and insert them into the shoe to give me more cushion. The shoe is so beautiful, it's hard to find fault with them and it's a bad idea to pass on an opportunity to get them. Hopefully, I'll be able to get the other color before I never see them again. The pictures don't do it justice, you really need to see them in motion to get the full effect of the sparkles and color shift. ETA: I've seen on another pair of Chucks where someone said Amazon had sold them counterfeit Chucks. They claimed they saw online that authentic Chucks have a star inside the "O" in the word "Converse." This is untrue. It is easy to see this is untrue simply by looking at shoes on the Converse website. I think it's highly unlikely to be sold a counterfeit from Amazon since they likely buy directly from the manufacturer. This may be more likely to occur buying from a third-party.

Beautiful Shoes, True to Size but Narrow Fit
These shoes are beautiful. The unique color, suede material, and cushioned padding create a stylish and comfortable combination. They run true to size; however, they are better suited for people with narrow feet, as they fit tightly around the sides.

Very well made Chucks. Worth the price premium over cheaper Converse All Stars
Converse hit it out of the park with these. The Converse Chuck 70 is like a heavy duty version of the standard All Star. There are a few aesthetic differences, namely the throwback logo on the heel and the "player name" stamp on the inside of the tongue. However, the differences in build quality are even more noticeable. The canvas is thicker and heavier with an extra layer in the toe area, there is much more cushioning and support underfoot, the rand is taller and is varnished to offer more coverage and protection and the sole is one solid piece of thicker rubber. Overall, the Chuck 70 feels much more like a modern athletic sneaker than the standard All Star, while maintaining the classic look of vintage Converse. I was amazed at how much more substantial and supportive they felt vs my All Stars. And I think they look better as well. I found the Chuck 70 fits best when ordering a half size smaller than my usual sneaker size (9.5 instead of my normal 10). That is the case with my standard All Star sneakers as well. Having a relatively wide foot, the toe box feels slighter more snug than I would prefer (also the experienced with my All Stars), but they are not tight to the point of being uncomfortable. Overall, I would highly recommend the Chuck 70 to anyone who likes the look of Converse All Stars. I feel that the Chuck 70 beats the All Star in every way and are definitely worth the extra cost. As long as Converse keeps offering the Chuck 70 I will never buy another pair of standard All Stars.

Converse Does It Again
The Chuck Taylor is the world’s perfect sneaker and these platform cross trainers manage to capture the classic look and comfortable fit of the OG Chuck Taylors but with a modern edge and appeal. The sizing options on Amazon are accurate and these shoes fit perfectly, so order your usual Chuck Taylor size. The moment you put them on you will feel the classic Chuck Taylor fit but a noticeable amount of extra comfort. The quality is excellent - and it’s not an exaggeration when I say these are one of the best and most comfortable pairs of sneakers ever made. The only con is the tab above the ankle and that’s just from an aesthetic point of view and there are people who might prefer the tabs - but this one minor issue is eclipsed by all the other amazing aspects of this shoe. Whether you’re a guy or a girl or alien just spending a little quality time on earth for a while I highly recommend buying these sneakers - if you’re on the fence just go for it because you’re not going to be disappointed - in fact you’re going to love them the moment you see them in-person and put them on. I rarely write reviews unless I’m really impressed. I can’t stress enough how great these sneakers are.
