Now I will never buy regular converse. And 70 I will buy unisex or men's, they are much more comfortable and not so narrow, and the quality is beyond praise. I am pleased!

    • Higher quality than standard Chucks, run large.
Absolutely love the 1970 chucks as they're much higher quality than your typical $40-50 cheap chucks. The rubber and canvas on these is much thicker and will last quite a while. They also don't collect dirt as easy on the white rubber. As is standard with chucks they run 1 size large, so I wear a 12 when my normal size is 13 in Nike/Adidas. ... show more

I've bought them twice now and have to return again bc they run HUGE. They look great, but go down a FEW sizes. I'm a 9, I'm trying a 7.

These shoes are made like Chuck’s were made in the 60’s and 70’s, with a cushioned insole, better canvas and outsoles than the “modern” version, and the old-style black “Chuck Taylor” label on the back. Why did Converse STOP making them like this? To me, these are the REAL Chuck’s, not the more cheaply-made “modern” ones. The Chuck 70’s are like my first pair of Chuck’s from 1971, but beware—the Converse website says they run half a size big, and they do, so when you order yours, get a half size below the one you normally wear. ... show more
