Great shoe, but Amazon sent me a pair that were clearly worn already: shoddy box, no tissue paper, felt on the bottom is worn off, and junk stuck in the soles. Amazon is usually pretty good but they really dropped the ball on this one. I like this shoe but I really can't say I'm pleased with the purchase -- when I spend money for a new product, I expect it to be new, not lightly used. 4 stars for the shoe, 1 star for the bad service. Anyways, to review the actual shoe itself. It's a black canvas upper and black rubber for the soles and around the toe. The high top rises above my ankles and fits comfortably. I like the side profile of this shoe, the way it is stitched makes it look at little more "street" than regular Chucks. My feet aren't very wide but they fit really snugly in this shoe. Now, I don't really like how big the tongue of this shoe is -- it's very wide and puffy. I feel like they would look better if the tongue was a little slimmer. I think this is more a thing with all Chucks, but there isn't a lot of cushion and arch support. I probably wouldn't want this shoe as my everyday wear because of the lack of cushion.

First of all the sneakers did not come in a converse box. When I opened the nonconverse box to inspect the sneakers I noticed animal hairs inside of the sneakers. They appeared to have been previously bought, worn and returned. I was going to give as a gift but my fiancé would have been livid to receive sneakers with animal hair in them and previously worn. Very unsanitary and disgusting!

I paid extra from this Seller for the Black/Black/Black color scheme shoes because I own a pair that I really like but they need to be replaced. The show box may say Black/Black/Black but the shoes inside the box are definitely Black/Black/Grey. If you’re looking for the Converse Street Canvas High Top Sneakers in Black/Black/Grey there are many other less expensive options out there with a simple search. I know because I spent a very long time searching for them in Black/Black/Black so I saw all of the prices for all of the color schemes.

I bought a 10.5 in these after buying 11s and 11.5s in Etnies and Adidas for a few years. The 10.5 fits great, so they might run a little large depending on what you normally buy. They feel great, but I would recommend throwing some gel insoles if you are working on your feet in them. The only minor con is that the color is pretty different from what was on the store picture. It is a light grey (dolphin?) but the picture looked to me like a light khaki. I plan on getting more in various colors after this test run, so I have no issue with it.
