This is absolutely adorable and really well made - it doesn't have a 'cheap' look to it. I bought size 3-4 for a two year old to wear, and it was definitely a bit big, but still fit and would work if you needed it to. I'm planning to use this more in the future, so I got the bigger size. Anyway, there are a few things that I wish were different - first, the little jewel that goes on the dress actually comes detached and you have to put it on with a safety pin. I don't love using safety pins on kids clothes, and also I've found that most heave jewels like that will weigh on the fabric of a thinner dress and leave a big hole over time. So that concerns me. I'm thinking I might try to actually attach it on there permanently somehow. Also, the earrings that come with this are real earrings - they are not clip on. I was hoping that for a kids costume they were going to be clip-on, but overall not the end of the world. The only other issue I have is that one of the jewels on the wand came off already (but I was able to easily super glue it back in place). Anyway, even with those minor issues, I'm happy with this costume and I love the accessories it comes with. ... show more

This set is really cute - except for the earrings. They include real studded earrings with metal posts and I immediately threw them away. There's no telling what type of metal they are made from, if they are allergy friendly, or anything. I think this is the first time I've seen metal post earrings included in a child's dress up set - and I would have preferred the plastic snap on type over metal any day of the week. I also wish the blue broach was sewn on because as a pin it tends to flop around and move while my child plays. It is a bit long for my daughter, but she still manages to play in it just fine. The other accessories (gloves, crown headband and scepter) are all very cute and are on theme. Overall this is a nice set - but please change the earrings. ... show more

I bought this for my granddaughter because she really loves Princess Peach. The first day she wore it fit her perfectly and she looked really cute. When she went to put it on again we noticed a big slit in the back of the dress right on the seem. The dress also ripped on each side under the arms. I'm guessing the fabric is really cheap. She was so happy when she got this and now she's really sad!! This dress was not worth the money I paid for it. ... show more

I have a dress up chest for my granddaughter when she comes to visit and since she’s really into Mario right now I knew she’d love this, and I was right. I was very satisfied with the quality of the dress, I didn’t wash it but steamed it to get out some of the wrinkles and the steamer worked well. She’s almost 6 and a little big for her age so I was undecided about getting the 5-6 year size or the 7-8 year size. I decided to get the 7-8 year old size and while it is a little big on her it still works, and she’ll be able to grow into it so it’ll fit even better yet. A couple things to note, the crown is just made of felt and it’s attached to a headband. I was expected it to be a little more substantial but the fact that it’s attached to a headband it actually stays on quite well. My granddaughter loved it. Only thing I was disappointed in were the earrings. My granddaughter was excited to put them on but they are not clip ons, they are for pierced ears. I was surprised at this because most costumes for young kids come with clip on earrings. The age group for this dress says 3 to 9 years old and I don’t feel that most kids in that age group already have their ears pierced. This wasn’t a really big deal but just something for you to be aware of. I still felt in deserved a 5 star rating from me because everything else about this costume is granddaughter approved. ... show more

I ordered this in a 5-6 size for my daughters. I have two five year old's and a three year old. The above picture is my tallest5 year old in the dress. I do like to buy dress up a little big so that they last a little longer and I feel this dress will last maybe a year with my tallest daughter, and it will probably last at least two to three years for my other two daughters. I like the dress is seems like a fairly well made dress. The gloves are a white satin material and seem nice (my daughter just didn't want to put them on). The wand is nice, the crown I feel could have been done better and is kind of a let down. I also will note that the earrings are only going to work for a kid that has their ears pierced, the earrings are post earrings not dress up clasp earrings. However, minus the crown and the earrings the dress is nice and my kids are so excited to be princess peach since they love to play Mario kart with their dad.
