Surprisingly, this multi-sized outfit fit my grandson. Usually, he has difficulties wearing and fitting outfits that are a range of sizes (14-16) and the waistline only has elastic fitting. A size range of 12-14 would have been a better fit but also adding an additional cord to the waist would help. Consider adding a waist cord to all sizes of pants.
