I made ceramic coasters in pottery class. They were a bit uneven and I didn't want them to scratch up my glass and wood tables. I cut them with a combination of x-acto knife and scissors and they cut easily. The adhesive backing stuck in place immediately. I rubbed them down using the removed paper backing and they are clearly there for life. Forget peeling them back off to adjust the position, you need to place them right the first time or you will have to slice then off with a knife and place a new piece. They don't seem crumbly but as others have mentioned if you pick at them to try to pull the cork off then it does crumble and not hold together as a sheet. I haven't tried them in my Sizzix Big Shot yet. I only had the thin Framelits for the circle size I wanted and the cork is thicker than my Framelits. I expect to have some fun with the thicker Bigz dies though. ... show more

I removed my microwave from over my stove. Doing this left holes in the cupboard from the hanging microwave. I used the contact paper on the inside of cabinet and the underside of the cabinet. It worked perfectly, looks wonderful as well!!

The only "con" was that just over halfway through I opened the fourth roll to find out that it was cracked in several places. But this is actually better than I fare in the box stores - where half of their brands were bad. At least with the Contact brand, I knew I was getting quality. To point, they were very sturdy, yet flexible so that I was able to form them within the drawers. The adhesive was perfect, just the right amount. The thickness was exactly what I needed to protect the contents of the drawers and keep them nice and uniform. You do have to take this nice and slow, and I recommend very sharp scissors, as opposed to a razor. As a razor - no matter how sharp, will tear cork. I will certainly be buying this again from the seller (I need more), as I was overall very pleased - with the exception of the one cracking roll. ... show more

We bought this to replace the backing on several older coasters, picture frames and a few other things. The roll will last a long time!! It is very thin, but works fine for what we needed. I love that the backing has the grid lines that made cutting and measuring a breeze!

    • NOT THICK ENOUGH FOR THUMBTACKS

I love the ease of use, and I’ll just say it. This is not what you think it is. Without reading thoroughly, I thought this was a roll of cork board that would be used for thumbtacks. But it is not, thick as 2 credit cards, what I needed it for. If you are ordering this for that type of thought, I recommend “sticky tack” or a putty my loctite to tack pictures and what not to it as I did. Looks clean and organized when used with the putty and all. Putty does not pierce the photos if that’s your thing too. Love it. I had cut my roll into two pieces of 24” or 61cm each and made two for a corner in my office. Although peeling off the backing of about a quarter of one of my pieces peeled off the sticky back and was unable to use a large chunk of this as it is impossible to stick back. The double sided adhesive is super thin and unable to re-attach. As it comes in a roll the backing was rippled from either sitting too long as a roll or was once a flat piece and forced into a roll and made wrinkles on the backing. Advise laying out on a table with weight as you would a rug to have it level out and uncurl itself naturally. ... show more

We've had other non-adhesive shelf liners to keep items in place in our drawers. However, the liners themselves slid around. Kind of defeats the purpose, right? Anyway, we tried this and there is no more sliding of the liner or the items in the drawer. Everything we wanted all along. I never thought of Con-tact as more than a shelf liner to make things pretty or just cover worn shelves. If you want something to put in your drawers, the ones you use MOST frequently, where things keep shifting, this really is the product for you. Pull the drawers open quickly. Slam them shut.
