UPDATE: These were awesome for my hike! We had to go through puddles and even a stream during this hike and the water just rolled right off of these boots. I didn’t feel a thing, not even a temperature change. It was so cool. These boots gripped like a champ and it’s a good thing I had them because we did a fair amount of climbing too, which I wasn’t anticipating beforehand. Excellent boots! These boots look and fit great! I normally wear a size 10, so I ordered that size, but they felt tight around my toes/top of my foot, so I returned and sized up to 10.5 and they are perfect! Very comfortable and I’m excited to use them for my first hike coming up. This size happened to be on sale for $25 too so I really lucked out. Might buy another pair. They seem to be great quality and the leather looks really nice. Purple on the bottom was a nice surprise too. I will update after the hike about durability and grip.

Exactly as described, I'd say it runs a little large. I am a 8.5. Narrow heel, wide toe box, but slender feet. I always have to size up to a 9 in Merrell and Keen; this 9 Womens is a little bit bigger than those brands and I'd recommend an 8.5 but works great with thick wool socks. Absolutely waterproof, took them out in the mud by the lake and in the water; no seepage or leakage and it naturally wicks off the mud if it is in the water; it is *almost* non-stick. Not too much support but pretty decent, if you have a high arch - you may been inserts. They hurt my feet at first until they broke in a little and now they are way comfy!

I bought the Columbia Women’s Newton Ridge Plus Hiking Boots for a recent trip to the mountains, and let me tell you—they understood the assignment. Not only did these boots carry me up rocky trails like a mountain goat with a mortgage, but they also pulled double duty as my motorcycle boots while riding my dirt bike. Yep. These cute little hikers took on the trail and the throttle, and came out looking like champs. First off: comfort. I wore them all day—hiking, riding, walking around camp—and didn’t get a single blister. My feet felt supported, happy, and weirdly smug about my choice in footwear. Durability? Check. I scuffed them against rocks, got them muddy, accidentally kicked my bike’s footpeg more times than I care to admit... and they still look great. These boots are tanks in disguise. Style-wise, they’re actually really cute. I got compliments at a gas station. A gas station. That’s when you know you’re onto something. They look good with leggings, jeans, or your average dirt-streaked trail pants. And for the price? Honestly, these are a steal. They feel like boots that should cost twice as much but somehow don’t. A rare win for both my feet and my wallet. If you're on the fence—hop off and lace these up. Whether you're climbing mountains or revving engines, these boots can handle it. And look good doing it.

I ordered these in a wide width to accommodate my orthotics. They were still big so I could have ordered the regular width. The size was fine. They were very comfortable and seemed like they would be very warm. They also seemed very well made. I did return them only because I liked the other style of Columbia boot better (1 ordered 2 different styles) I would highly recommend them.

I bought my normal size, 7, but in a wide because I have wide feet. Length wise I can fit a 6.5 fine, but my foot is too wide so sometimes I even go up to 7.5. Being as these are wide, I should have gone with 6.5. There is extra room in the heel and it rubs. I wear thick socks and have only hiked 4 miles as the longest at one time in these boots. The were shifting up and down in the heel, too roomy. Part way through the hike, I tighten them really tight to see if it would help. It did but loosened and rubbed as I was hiking. Very comfy otherwise I hope these will be doable for longer hikes

I bought these for a friend because she didn’t have any hiking shoes. Her feet are kind of wide and these fit perfectly! She says it’s well cushioned and doesn’t leave blisters at all. She also said they were very cute! I didn’t want to break my budget but these were great!

Boots arrived just before a trip. I was nervous that I didn't have time to break them in, but discovered that wasn't necessary! These boots are comfortable from day one. I walked several miles over uneven terrain nearly each day and the boots provided great ankle support and comfort. Would definitely recommend them.
