I bought this for my son so that he could have a light jacket/rain jacket. It is made very well and has had no issues with rain seeping in so the waterproofing seems to work well. It looks good and is lasting well. Fits as expected.

My son loves to play in the rain and it keeps him dry. I also like the color. It is thin but I like that because my son can wear layers if it's cold or just a tshirt underneath if it's hot. The thin material also allows for flexibility when dodging raindrops and jumping in epic puddles. The construction and materials feel and look solid. I regard to the fit, my son is 8 and in 50th percentile, I bought him a medium and it looks good. I think he can get this year as well as next year out of it. ... show more

I like the color and the fit and the weight of the jacket. It keeps my daughter dry at her soccer practices and she really likes it. But I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I don’t like that they only market it as a boy’s jacket. Why not unisex or kids’?

I initially bought the size 10-12 for my 10 year old son. It fitted well but it was evident he would outgrow it in a few months time. So I returned it and bought a size 14-16 instead. Its a little big but still fits well. Its very light as the purpose is to keep one dry from the rain. It is not meant to provide warmth as it has no insulating layer. Love this rain jacket from Columbia. This is the second time I am purchasing this exact jacket as I got a good 2 years out of the first one. Keep in mind this jacket is made for warmer weather when purchasing. Initially I purchased this for my son to take to sleep away camp. It survived two summers at camp and still looks good as it is so easy to clean. Now that he has outgrown it, the jacket is being passed down to a family member. I don't mind paying a little more for a quality item if I can get an extra year of use out of it. So lightweight & roomy - great for springtime until possibly early fall. ... show more

I purchased a size 3T for my 2.5 year old and he is quite petite. It ended up being just the right size for him with a little extra growing room. The material is nice and thin, perfect for rainy weather during warmer seasons. Good quality and great price, nice range of colours too.
