Before buying this, I would use a variety of Scotch tapes or lint rollers. I can feel the strong stickiness with my fingers, and yes, they do work better than this gel in most cases. However, I couldnโ€™t ever remove the lint on silicone surfaces somehow, and this gel worked like a charm! I took a small piece out of the jar and tested it on certain areas. Itโ€™s gentle, delicate, yet effective. It works mysteriously well on certain surfaces. Itโ€™s a little wet, so it removes static in the area first, then easily, gently, picks up the lint. This stuff works almost perfect. It does leave some bits of itself every now and then but you just dab it up and comes right off. Would give 4.5 stars if I could.

I experimented using this on my Merrell Jungle Moc shoes that have a suede-like texture. It helped me remove dust and other debris that I couldn't get out otherwise. I also used it on another pair of shoes that have a matte, "greasy leather" texture and it worked well there too.

The gel has a bit of an odd texture to it, like a cold putty you expect to be wet but isn't. I found the instructions on the packaging to be mostly clear except for on what to do with the small piece after you use it and didn't pick up much when I tested it on my keyboard, but I tend to keep it fairly clean so that's more than likely why. As for the smell it's not good. When I first opened the jar I was pleasantly surprised it had a faint smell almost like glass or electronics cleaner but that quickly changed after using it as it became a gross borderline chemical smell that stuck to my hand and took both a wash and sanitize to remove, if I do use it again i'll definetly be wearing gloves and finding some way to deoderize the surface after ... show more

It picks up some but not all small debris. It feels like the slime should be able to pick up most hair, dust, etc. but for some reason, it only picks up like, 60% - 70% of most gunk. So, it definitely helps with deep cleaning, but it was not as effective as I would have liked for it to be. Still very useful in cleaning hard-to-reach crevices found in cars, keyboards, etc. ... show more
