As other reviewers have mentioned it's way better than expected! I've ordered kits like this before from other companies and they're always hit or miss, like some items are fantastic and some are cheap and awful. Which I've noticed is usually the eyeshadows, they look nice in the palette but have very little pigment and don't go on well. Everything about this kit is fantastic! I got this intending to give it to one of my nieces or break it up between a few of them but I really like everything in here! Though the backpack isn't for me, so one of them will get that, it's nice enough to give as a gift on its own. This is a nice little kit for beginners and seasoned makeup users.

This all comes in a backpack type bag: a wide range of makeup brushes, and some makeup to get started. There is a slight bit of room to add another few items. It makes a nice gift, but I am keeping it for myself.

After trying several Color Nymph products, the first thing I want to mention is that the quality varies for some reason from kit to kit. That being said, I’ve always been pleasantly surprised by Color Nymph kits and this one is no exception. The kit includes an eyeshadow palette, mascara, blushes/highlighters, a double ended lip gloss, eyebrow powder, and, a few little brushes. The eyeshadow palette has a gorgeous set of colors but I was a little disappointed in their vibrancy. This is an issue I’ve found with this brand. Sometimes the shadows are well pigmented and sometimes it’s a struggle to get them to show up. This set falls somewhere in the middle. The mascara isn’t my style, but it’s nice. It gives a really subtle effect. It’s lightly lengthening but not volumizing. It gives a really natural effect without any clumping to speak of. I found it to be a perfect primer as I like a more voluminous look. The lip gloss is decent. Not something I’ll probably use too much! The lighter color in this pack reminds me of the concealer lip trend from the early 2000’s. As for the eyebrow powder and blush/bronzer, they’re not something I use a lot. I found the bronzer to be a little too pigmented for me (had to diffuse it with my foundation sponge). Overall, I’m still a fan of Color Nymph in general and this product hasn’t changed my mind. Plus it all came in this adorable faux leather mini backpack purse. Can’t wait to try it out in warmer weather. It would look pretty ridiculous to pair this tiny bag with a bunch of layers and a winter jacket. I can see this pairing well with a nice spring or summer single layer look. Can’t wait!

Authentic review incoming! I hope it's helpful! Y'all, I'm gobsmacked. Flabbergasted. Befuddled. Insert superlative here. I ordered this thinking it'd be cute to have in the house for when my nieces come visit. Ummm....I am getting them their own, because I'm keeping this one. MINE. ALL MINE. I can't lie, given the price, I totally thought the bag would be a piece of crummy plastic and the makeup would be awful—but at least good for dress-up. I was SO. WRONG. And I'm thrilled to be wrong. I cannot get over what a nice set this is given the price. Where do I even start? Everything came well-packaged, with the makeup wrapped in tissue paper for protection. The backpack is super soft and a great, compact-but-not-too-small size with multiple compartments. I'm not planning on using it as a makeup bag, but I will totally use it as a little day bag for outings. The makeup is surprisingly nice. The colors are beautiful and well-pigmented, the brushes are nice quality (you get both a blush/contour brush and an eyeshadow brush), and I am obsesssssed with the eyebrow palette. It's my favorite part. I also like the eyeliner and the mascara is decent, but I'd buy this for the eyebrow palette alone. The highlighter, blush, and lip gloss is a little bright/young for my taste (I'm 40) but that's NBD and just a matter of personal preference. I love that the lip gloss is dual-sided, and I will definitely use the darker highlighter. Overall, this was one of the most pleasant surprises I've ever had from Amazon in terms of what you get versus what you paid. Don't wait, get yours!! (By the way, I purchased color A.)
