As a rule of thumb, I do not write reviews or comments. But from the first moment I put this shoe on, I felt compelled to share my praises. Having a large foot, purchasing shoes is always a fiasco. In the best of circumstances, I would need a number of days to break in a shoe (often with discomfort) before they felt comfortable. NOT the case with these shoes! The moment I put these shoes on, I felt great. These shoes are so comfortable and light, I sometimes forget that I have them on my feet. They fit well, are well made and provide plenty of support. Like dress shoe and a lightweight running shoe had a baby. I was a little apprehensive about the style of these at first, but by the end of my first day of wearing them I don’t care - I’m never going back to regular dress shoes. The style has grown on me, and even garnered some compliments. I’m buying another color ASAP. I didn’t realize how light these are as well. They may be the lightest shoes I own, which provides an incredible amount of comfort itself.     • Great Shoes! Need to be broken in...
I have been searching for a pair of dress shoes that are both comfortable and durable. I usually buy in the $50-$100 range just assuming they are going to wear out and get tossed. After reading several threads, I was convinced that I just needed to up my price point a bit and would get better lasting shoes. These shoes have a solid rubber sole and have held up very well. The tan trim is very attractive and sets these shoes apart from regular black wing tips. I thought the blue laces were ridiculous so I was happy that there was an extra black set in the box. I liked the blue laces so I kept them in. The shoes were horribly uncomfortable the first two days. They were very tight across the top and I got hot spots on my heels. After the extra socks+hair dryer trick, they stretched out nicely and fit very well. In retrospect, I would have ordered half a size larger as these shoes run just a little small. If you have high arches, definitely get half a size larger. Next set of shoes I get will likely be Cole Haan- but that shouldn't be for a while. ... show more

    • Gorgeous and comfortable shoes.
I picked these because they are beautiful, and I wanted too see how I like the feel of them. I prefer the colored laces, and feel like I pulled them off with jeans and when I wore them with my black suit. They are not as comfortable as my AEs, but they are nicer than other shes I have worn in this price range. The styling is also outstanding. The soles are cool; they are lugged medially and straight laterally, which is functional and nice looking. I also like the spot on the medial side where the outsole comes up through the midsole, even though this means most cobblers will either be unable too resole them, or will have to do the midsole at the same time. However, at this price range, with these rubber soles, and with such a contemporary look, there's a reasonable change they'll get donated when they are tired, rather than resoled. ... show more
