My son HATES wearing jeans, so I ordered these along with some other similar pants. These look AWESOME on him, and he can't wait to wear them to school! My only advice is to size up! My son is 10 years old and very petite for his age! 10's generally run a bit bigger on him, and I did check out the size guide to be sure they'd fit him correctly. Although he should have had room to grow in these, they were just too short. I was afraid of buying these in a bigger size since they fit nicely in the legs and stomach, but I went ahead, returned the 10's, and I bought the 12's anyway. The 12's are a little looser on him, but he can still wear them without having to tie them at the waist, and they are long enough too. I did debate on giving these 4 stars due to the inconvenience of having to return them and buy new one's, but the return process was really easy, and they are a really great pair of pants.

I was impressed with the construction and styling of these pants. They are two-ply in thickness (but not fleece) and have some heft to them but are soft. Perfect weight pants for Spring sports. The pants did not have any circular insignia stitched on as mentioned by other reviewers, which is good. My son is a slim 10 year old (76 lbs, 57 inches tall) and I ordered size 12. Given the range description in the size guide, I expected them to be on the big side; however, they fit him perfectly. The leg width including the bottom opening is slimmer than we've seen in other performance pants (non-joggers) but works fine and looks like it will still fit over shin guards. We both like these pants!

The Size 8 fits my 5 yr old perfectly (4’1” & 60 lbs). We use them for his ice skating lessons, indoor soccer and outdoor soccer when it’s cooler. They’re the perfect pant for this! They’ve stood up for a couple seasons and I’m now going to buy the next size up for when he grows. I’ve washed them at least 20 times and they still look great!
