The leather is pretty thick, so it seems built well to last. There are so many wonderful pockets available in this bag, many open without having to open the entire bag. The bag has a lot of space to hold all you need, but isn't oversized to weigh too much to cary. The pockets and zippers seem very well built to last a long time. I ordered this bag last minute to take on a trip with me. Arrived rolled up and as soon as I unpacked the bag I notice a very strong odor I don’t know if it’s from how it was packaged or the material but it smells like a fish market. I had to open it up sprayed it down and sprinkled some baking soda to hopefully minimize the odor. I’ve been airing the bag all day and the smell is still there. I will probably have to find another bag to take on my trip because I can’t get pass this odor. This backpack/handbag is great. Love that you can wear it both ways. I commute daily in NYC and this as been great. Pockets on the side, pocket on the front and pocket in the back. Very convenient. I have now purchased 2 of these. The vegan leather looks similar to another soft supple buttery soft real leather bag I own. This bag looks brand new and I’ve already taken it on several vacations. It is comfortable to wear and holds a surprisingly large amount of items for a backpack on the smaller side. I love the security features and that the zipper sits against your back. This bag is amazing! I’ve bought it over and over for gifts. I’ve owned mine for over two years. The bag is durable and fits a ton. I love how the big pocket is accessible from the back, I can get into it while it’s still on. I ordered another hoping to replace the one I bought in 2021 because the gold hardware is starting to show wear, and am so frustrated to see the gold logo on the bag. I’ve been waiting for the listing to show it as gone ( I think they thought it was an upgrade) and I just got one with the gold logo tag on it.
