It was a tad smelly when I unwrapped it, but the smell quick dissipated. I’m choosy about zippers. They must glide like butter and these do. Also, they cannot be rough or they’ll scrape my hands every time I reach inside. Again, these zippers were great. I bought it because I need it a bag that I can place in top of my luggage to be considered Carry on. And I found it. This has become my #1 backpack/purse!! Travel and daily. I went to Guadalajara, Ciudad de México and Teotihuacán for my first trip and it work so well I was just fascinated also in the airport I could just hang it in my arm and take out everything so fast.
