The threading isn’t right. When you assemble it, you can’t tighten all the way or it will not be in the right shape. You have to install with the threads loose. It gets the job done though. We did not use the anchors that came with it. Rather, we used toggle bolts so that we could be confident that it could hold a lot of clothes no matter the weight. I’d highly recommend toggle bolts for anything that goes into Sheetrock or plaster and could be heavy. ... show more

So I bought this coat hanger to go with the industrial theme of my home. Similar to other products like this that require assembly, getting everything to line up correctly and tight was very tough. Hanging it on the wall presented a challenge because the middle support kept sliding around and needing to be corrected. Once I had it up, it looks nice and is definitely strong/sturdy. I bought two of these racks for my walk-in closet. No instructions were provided, but it is easy to figure out which part goes where. I strongly recommend buying heavy duty anchors to make the rack much more sturdy as opposed to the plastic anchors that came with the rack. Also, have a friend or two help you with the installation. Went together pretty easy definitely needed 2 people to install it the anchor points went directly into studs so that was pretty cool. Looks like somebody took a minute or 2 to definitely be sure that this Would be able to be securely mounted to the wall. Definitely made of conduit with a paint of some sort on it. These clothing racks are fantastic! After my common “white rack” closet system collapsed for the second time, I bought five of these and could not be happier! It is a little challenging to mount these on your own but I managed with limited skill and no drill. You can’t mount the middle support on top or on the bottom, I felt the best support was mounting the support on the bottom of the fixture. Great buy!!! ... show more

This is metal piping- super sturdy! Also, unique look:) I will need to add a shelf to this, as it looks like a pull up bar with nothing around it haha! Make sure to angle the support bar down it you want to add a shelf about it.
