I have been looking for a heavy duty rod that can be used for hanging my heavy winter coats. This rod works great and its very easy to install. Once you mounted the two U-shaped brackets where you wanted, you can then just adjust rod to the correct length and drop it in the bracket. This worked well installed between two cabinets in the laundry room. The instructions are a little weak but it's pretty easy to figure out and install. There was one screw missing for fastening the rod to the brackets but it wasn't really needed - it's plenty solid with just the three screws that came with it. ... show more

I purchased 2 of these. 1 came perfectly and worked wonderfully, the 2nd one not so much. It was disassembled (the locking mechanism) and it was such a pain to try and figure it out. Seems ok but I wouldn’t hang too much on them. The claim of being heavy duty is not very accurate.
