We purchased this after our wooden closet rod failed and all our clothes ended up on the floor. The brackets for these are solid metal and use three screws each, making them far more sturdy than what we had. Our closet spans about 65 in, so the adjustable nature of this one worked out well. It just has one adjustable piece, and several optional extensions to give it a wide range of sizes that it will fit. The instructions are decent but I wished they included the recommended size of the pilot hole, though it was easy enough to eyeball. I was screwing directly into hardwood, so I only needed a tiny pilot hole. Overall, these were easy to install and felt very sturdy once complete. Would recommend.

These rods install easily and look decent. They’re sturdy but the tightening mechanism doesn’t hold up very well. For the price I would buy them again. No functionality issues once properly mounted. I found a stud to mount the brackets to through the drywall and they’ll actually hold a lot of weight up

Was updating a closet that had an organizer system in it when I bought the house. Needed to install a new rod higher-up, so I'd have room for 2-rods one above the other. This rod worked well because the size is adjustable (no need to cut anything) yet still very strong. I had to add a block of wood to the existing closet organizer to give one of the brackets a place to attach, but that's an issue with my closet organizer, not the rod itself. Have purchased a second identical rod to do the same thing on the other side of the closet. They are not sagging with the weight of a pretty full rod of clothes across 4 feet.

Solid. It has exterior ridges from the interior threading. The curtains hang up on the ridges when opening/closing. I am sure over time, this will cause fraying.
