My daughter was so excited when she opened the car mat carpet for Christmas! She immediately asked for her hot wheels cars so she could play “driver” around the entire thing. We quickly found out that she was not only using the mat as a car track but she also lined up while cities with a lot of her other toys creating sections and worlds all in the one mat! The edges did fray a bit when vacuumed the first time but I cut the piece off that frayed and we were good to go. I know the dimensions are available, but it doesn't tell you that Hot Wheels cars don't fit. A single Hot Wheels car takes up the entire road, and they're too big to fit in the parking spaces. My son wants to race our cars on the rug like we could with his old rug (made by the same company), but we can't.
