The shoe fits fine in length. The toe box is wide enough. Padding in foot bed is great. HOWEVER, this is the only pair of shoes I have that make the sock heel slide down. I have to wear quarter top socks and then I feel a slight rub on the back of the heel.

Update on my review: I received the size 6 which fits nicely everywhere. I am SO disappointed though, now that everything else fits I realize the area on the heel comes way too far up and is rubbing very hard on the back of my ankle. Just a few minutes in the house and I realize no way can I wear these without their rubbing huge sores on my heels/ankles. Sadly these are going back. I was so surprised to try on the 5.5 in this shoe and have it be so small. My foot size is a solid 5.5, all the time. The shoe is too tight overall and really a bit narrow as well. I am returning the 5.5 and ordering both the 6 and the 6.5. The 6 wide is sold out and now I know why. Clarks...what are you doing, making these so narrow? Other shoes by Clarks are not like this.

Clarks Cloud Steppers are extremely comfortable for walking or standing long periods of time. The soles hold up well. The white does get dirty easily. If that bothers you. White shoe polish works great. The Olive is more of an odd Brown color. Not my favorite. The Black and Navy are true in color. The Grey is light.

I am a Clark shoe wearer! I teach school and have worn Clark shoes for 30+ years. I’ve always worn a size 9 Clark shoe. This shoe was too big. I’m not sure if they were just midsized or if they are just a larger shoe. These shoes were hard not a soft shoe like I was expecting! I did not even like the style. They were bulky and very thick material. Like I said I wear Clark shoes. I love all my Clark shoes. I was very disappointed with this shoe. I had intended to send them back but my husband got sick and I put them up and forgot about them until it was too late to send them back. I gave them to a friend that normally wears a size 9.5-10 shoe. She has worn them but agrees with me with it being a thick, bulky, hard shoe.

I recently injured my knee and need to wear sneakers instead of dress shoes but I don’t want to look like I’m wearing sneakers to work, so I decided to give the black on black sneakers a try. I typically wear a 10 but often prefer it in a wide shoe or as a 10-1/2. They offered neither of these options so I ordered an 11. The fit was fine but my regular size might have worked as well. The toe box is slightly more narrow than I like it, but remember, I have a little wider foot than many women. The heel slips up slightly in the back but not enough to cause me blisters. After wearing them for about an hour, they loosened up a bit and no longer felt too snug. The look of them does not attract attention and they looked similar to when I simply wear a black mule style shoe. They work fine with pants without drawing attention that they are sneakers.
