1st: amazingly comfortable dress shoes right from the start. Cushion insole and thick leather inside lining make these shoes feel like marshmallow butter. 2nd: sizing: for reference I wear a 8.5 D in New Balance, a 9 in Nike, anywhere from 8-9 in other Clark’s. In these I went with 8.5 medium and they fit perfect. Don’t listen to other reviewers telling you to go a full size down, unless you also go wide width instead of medium, but the toe box will likely still be cramped if you go that low. 3rd: Price seems to fluctuate a lot on these on amazon. I paid $52. For comfort and quality (but not necessarily style) I’d pay $70-80 gladly. But I’m cheap. Probably worth $100 ... show more

This shoe is fantastic for every day business attire. It is very comfortable (Clarks always are) and looks great with a suit! I saw this same pair at the Clarks outlet and it retails for $90 so this is a great deal. I bought the black leather first and loved them so much I bought the brown leather too. I purchased these Clarks men's dress shoes because I own other colors/styles of the same brand, and they have always been good shoes. They arrived quickly and were in great shape upon arrival - no scuffs, packed well, etc. I were dress shoes 5 days a week and normally alternate between 2-3 pairs I have. These have held up very well over the past few months. I currently live in Rhode Island and we have experienced some snow and ice this winter; these shoes have done pretty well with traction in those conditions. I would buy these again and definitely would buy Clarks branded shoes in the future. I no longer have to wear suits and ties to work. But, occasionally I have to suit up for some special event. Ergo I have to flip off the sandals or yank off the boots and wear gentleman shoes again. I've had Clarks several times before and was not hesitant to buy these. Just know, buy your true size. The Tilden has a long toe, sort of Italian style. They may look a little long but the fit and walking flex are correct. At least for me. The quality is there. The fit and finish is there. These are very likable shoes. ... show more

Size: 10.5 Color: Black Leather
I bought these a few weeks ago and my first impressions of the shoes are actually pretty good. It only took me about three full work days to break them in and now they fit excellently. The first two days I wondered if they were too tight or if I should have gotten a size larger due to the cut of the shoe (I usually wear 10.5, but some brands I wear 11). I got the 10.5 and although they seemed "narrow" (not exactly "pointy", just narrow) at the toes like other shoes, they turned out to be sleek and just my style. I don't wear pointy shoes so when they arrived and I first saw them I was a bit skeptical but after putting them on the extra room at the toes was welcomed and after three days I didnt feel like I needed a larger size. Just a tip, I did put these in front of a heater for a few minutes before putting them on to soften the leather, speed up the breaking in process, and have the leather acquiesce/form fit my feet. These shoes came at the perfect time. I was having foot pain from over working my feet due to my long hour, long distance walking in catering. There is some really good padding on the heal, shell of the body of the show, arch and ball of the foot. Each day my feet are not only making it through day, but my feet are starting to feel normal again after wearing an inferior brand. I will have to look into other shoes that Clarke's make so I have more than one pair to wear all week to work. They look great with a suit and tie. Not cheap or poor quality. I bought these shoes a couple months ago and feel that I can now write an honest review. I am a car salesman who spends a lot of time on his feet, walking the lot, running around between different departments, etc etc. Comfort and longevity are my two most important attributes I need in a shoe. Comfort is important because of how much time I spend in them. Longevity, because I look at dress shoes as an investment. The longer they last, the more value I get out of them for my job. These Clark's have been amazing. Usually, my shoes wear out within 6 months, and start to show signs of wear within about one month. These, however, still look brand new. They are also, just insanely comfortable all day. As an added bonus, my feet seem to not sweat very much in them, which is usually a big problem. That leads to a foul odor (try closing a deal with stinky shoes). No such problem with these Clark's. I have purchased Johnston and Murphy's as well as Florsheims in the past couple of years, and while they may have a tad more style, I am overall far more satisfied with the Clark's. I also love the fact that they are about 1/3 to 1/4 the price of the other brands. By the way, I also have another paid of Clark's that I purchased about 4 or so years ago and they are still going strong. I can't recommend these highly enough. ... show more
