I'm usually just a bit snug in a regular-width shoe but wides are a bit too much. I bought these in a 12 regular, and the length was closer to an 11 1/2 and they were painfully tight around my feet. I returned them and ordered a 12 wide, which are themselves a bit snug and almost the perfect length. The shoes are well-made and sturdy, with a nice grain on the leather and a great overall look for business casual wear. Walking outside, they don't wear quite as comfortable as similarly-priced sneakers, but they're close. I'm pleased with this purchase overall, but advise you to go with the wides if regular width is at all tight for you.

The media could not be loaded. Bought Clark’s similar in appearance 2 years ago at GoodWill. Very similar design but probably an earlier generation as the foam sole was glued to a midsole sewn to the leather uppers around the welt. These Clark’s however have a milder (black, like the other pair) foam sole glued directly to the shoe, which caused some to downgrade this shoe in that separation could or did occur, I forget. I have treated this pair shamefully as I did with the resale Clark’s, which lasted a year under extreme use, for over 2 months. No separation, and NOT EXTREMELY SLIPPERY on wet smooth surfaces on those old-school Clark’s were! Some foam sold formulations are hazardously slick on water, as any 99 cent flip-flop wearer can attest! When the original resale Clark’s were totally scuffed, and it was winter, I had applied mink oil to fight water absorption, which also improved their appearance. In the video I mention not overheating the shoe to add mink oil, as glue in that original pair began to melt. Use a hair blow dryer gently before or after applying. I can highly recommend these WIDE shoes, which are helping toe joint damage I have likely inflicted on my left large toe proximal joint, by wearing shoes that fit my smaller foot instead of my larger one. As expected with real leather shoes, my left foot is shaping the leather to conform to my foot, not vice versa, as happens with man-made materials God bless.!

My husband was finally ready to replace his well worn Clark's. We could not find any similar Clarks in town so we turned to Amazon. We easily found his size, favorite color brown and this similar style. The price point was amazing! He's a happy man with comfortable shoes again!

When we travel, we walk a lot. In cities when wearing long pants, I need shoes that are good for miles of walking, but present well if we want to stop in a nicer restaurant. These are it. My old Timberlands were worn out and they didn't have this kind of non-trail style available. I knew about Clark's and their reputation for quality & comfort and took a shot. I just put them on and they felt great right out of the box. Solid feel on the floor, but super comfortable. The genuine leather in the uppers is substantial, not flimsy. And I really liked that they are not made in China. The price I got was unbeatable. I must have looked at 50+ shoes and I'm really glad I landed on these. Go for it.
