This oil feels so good on my dry skin and the effects last a long time. That it can firm and tone is a bonus. I've used this as suggested, applying it to my damp thighs and then rinsing off in a cool shower but I've also applied it in the evening, after my shower, and then not rinsed afterwards, instead putting on my pajamas and going to bed. Using the oil this way eliminates the uncomfortable dryness that my thighs can feel at night. In the morning there is no oiliness left, just smooth thighs. ... show more

    • Smell is pretty strong
The oil actually feels nice when you rub it in. The smell is stronger than I expected, but it is not a bad smell. It is more like slightly mediciny. At least it doesn't feel oily

This Clarins Contour Body Treatment Oil is pretty light. It has a mild, pleasant scent, as opposed to some oils that smell fairly strong. My skin absorbed it well, although it did leave a bit of tackiness behind. It felt nice, but I'm not sure how it's supposed to make any difference in the appearance of my skin. I put it on my thighs and they didn't look any different than they always look. Maybe the oiliness is supposed to reflect light, making them look smoother. This works as a moisturizer, but I wouldn't count on it toning, firming, or making your skin look different (other than possibly shinier). ... show more

I have been using this body contour oil for a while now, ever since I got a tiny sample sized one when I purchased Clarins product. This is the one I always use whenever the weather starts transitioning to cooler temperatures. I find this very moisturizing and it really helps my skin whenever I start noticing the dry cracks appearing. The great thing is that in addition to moisturizing my skin, it firms and tones it. My skin looks great and I've been using this oil for quite a while now so I'm guessing it is thanks to this oil! I've read that if you use this together with the Clarins body fit cellulite control cream it will have even better results, especially with cellulite, so I have started to do that. I don't have a huge issue with cellulite but I will gladly use anything that will help eliminate all the dimples. This treatment oil smells nice, nothing too overwhelmingly fragranced, a pleasant and enjoyable smell. It has a citrus-y type of fragrance, which I love, and if you like citrus scents you should find this pleasant. This is an oil so obviously it will feel a bit greasy and slick but I do find that it absorbs into the skin quite nicely, so it doesn't make you feel uncomfortable or heavy. Like I said I have been using this oil for a while now, even before this bottle, and have been happy with this Clarins staple.     • Moisturizing body oil
I love the Clarins Santal facial oil so I was excited about a Clarins body oil. I can’t speak much for the “contouring” yet but firming products are always hot or miss. Now, Clarins uses high quality botanicals and essential oils and their oils never make me break out. They absorb quickly and smell amazing. This one has a very organic smell which is awesome. I love that their oils aren’t as perfumey as their night and day creams. It’s perfect. As a tip, I usually apply contouring and firming products before working out or under a red light therapy belt. Essentially, getting rid of that excess water weight will help get the product where it needs to get to. I’ve only been using it about a week but will circle back around with any additional details. It is expensive but it works! It does go on like baby oil but instead of sitting on the surface of my skin, it soaks up right away. My skin is visibly smoother! I will admit it has an odd citrus smell, kind of like a lighter version of pledge furniture polish, but for how well it works I can deal with it! =) ... show more

I love Clarins skincare and their body products are just as healing. This body oil smells like the spa so using it just feels indulgent. I especially love it in the winter months when my skin gets dryer.
