This is a handsome watch. I’ve got a decent watch collection going, but ironically, did not have any Citizen watches, until now. This Citizen Men's Weekender Garrison Eco-Drive Stainless Steel is a cool, handsome men’s watch and a welcome addition to my collection. It looks great on and I love wearing it. It arrives in a nice box, well done for gift giving. I thought the “light powered” was a cool idea and had to try it. So far so good. I’m at that age where I need reading glassed and always worry about and consider how well I can read with and without glasses. Dials can make it harder - too many things in the background competing - but with these hands that also light up, so far I’ve been good with reading at all times of the day. I love the weight. I tend towards heavier watches with larger size, and this Citizen Men's Weekender Garrison Eco-Drive Stainless Steel is perfect for me. I prefer feeling the weight of a watch and knowing it’s there. This one is a great weight and size for that. It has a business causal look, but I wouldn’t think twice about wearing it out for the evening or a business meeting or whatever. I think watches can cover more ground these days and this one has a large range I’d consider having it on. In the end, this Citizen has been a great introduction for me to the brand and I’m thrilled to have added it. It’s a handsome, cool watch, manly, and a great time piece. ... show more

The first thing I noticed about this watch was that it has a very pleasing heft. It's not heavy, but it has a comfortable weight that provides a nice indication of superior quality. The face is easy to read and features a stylish design. The rim is blue, the numbers are white, and there are red highlights. The hands also glow in the dark. Looking at the watch face makes me think of the instrument panel of an airplane. The watch features an attractive and secure stainless steel strap. The clasp opens by pressing two buttons on the sides. I like the smooth action of the watch clasp. It is a secure strap, but you can put it on and take it off with ease. The watch comes in a quality box that makes this item a great gift idea. This would be a thoughtful present for an anniversary, a birthday, a retirement, or for any reason you can imagine. Powered by light this Citizen Chronograph watch has a rechargeable battery that stores energy from natural or artificial light continuously charging with a battery that is stated to never need replacing. The watch is more than just handsome it has excellent functionality. The white markings are easy to read against the dark background and the main hands and hour markers have a phosphorous coating for a glow-in-the-dark capability. The swatch has a dark blue face, a 1.73 inch diameter case that is 0.35 inches in thickness. In addition to the displaying the time there are markings for measuring 1/5 of a second, a calendar date window along with three sub-dials that measure seconds and minutes--and a 12/24 hour clock to identify if it is, for example 8 am or 8 pm. My citizens app provides instructions for setting the watch and registering the timepiece and the bar code on the box or tag may be scanned or manually typed in. The stainless steel wrist band locks in place with two small buttons that are easy to release with one hand and the band can accommodate wrists that measure up to 9 1/2 inches. The watch is water resistant to 100 meters which means it is safe to use when swimming or snorkeling but not diving.
