I love the fit and style of this, but it's got a terrible scent that hasn't come out even though I've washed it. I did size up because I hate when button up shirts are tight across the back, and it fits well.

I have finally gotten a denim shirt that is the actual size that it says it is! This must be the fourth denim shirt I've tried that says it'll fit a certain size but won't even button because it's too small. I purposely sized up to the XXL for that reason and probably would have been fine with the XL but I like my tops to be more roomy so am very happy with the fit. The material is a softer denim rather than a rougher denim but not too soft and still on the thicker side. Contrary to what others say about the buttons, I'm perfectly fine with them being on the side they're on, I have no problem with them. I wouldn't call this shirt a shacket, that's misleading, it's just a nice denim shirt. It seems well made, I washed it in cold water and put it in the dryer on low and it came out fine with no noticeable shrinkage. The price is decent for a good denim shirt too. ... show more

The manufacturer's size chart is accurate and indicates the size of the garment, not the size of the person. I generally wear a large in tops, but the size small in this shirt worked comfortably for me. I don't like an excessively oversized look. Just a little and it worked great. The shirt's cut is basically a box cut so the hips are close to the same size as the bust, just in case that's a concern for anyone. It's all cotton and comfortable. The shoulders hung down about 4 inches past my shoulder, even in the size small, but that's the way it looks in the pictures so no grief there. It's a lighter color denim than I thought it would be, more faded looking, but it's still nice. The fabric is light but is opaque so just right. ... show more

The Cicy Bell Women's Oversized Denim Shirt is advertised as "boyfriend style," which means the buttons are on the opposite side. My husband passed away six years ago, and I continue to wear some of his denim shirts, as they are very comfortable. At 75, I don't give a rip about whether others may not like "boyfriend style" shirts. The shirt had an awful smell right out of its vacuum-packed bag. I always wash new clothing, but I do hope this smell will wash away. This 100% cotton denim shirt is available at a reasonable price. The fabric is lightweight, making it ideal for Spring and Fall.
