I like Chum wallets. I personally think the Surfshort wallet is the greatest wallet that I've come across for size, the amount it can fit and cost. It's my everyday wallet. But sometimes I want something just a bit less; bike rides, hikes, day trips, drinking nights. The Bandit Zip wallet is my new go to for those needs. I've been using the Chums Daily wallet and Lo-Pro when I go on bike rides or runs; carry my id, one card and maybe a bill or two. They have worked great but they're missing the one thing that I love about my Surfshort wallet, a zippered pocket. I really like that zip pocket and I like it on the Bandit. You can't fit as much in the Bandit, 3 to 4 cards, an ID and some cash compared to the Surfshort. I find that the cards fit securely in their slots but not too tight. Tightness is an issue with slim wallets. The wallet comes with a RFID Blocking Card, and that kind of sucks if you wanted that feature in the wallet without giving up a card slot. The Bandit sits great in the front pocket and seems just as durable as the all other Chums wallets.

For over a decade I've been using a minimalist slim leather card sleeve. It has 4 sleeves for cards and a central pocket. This Chums Bandit wallet is a slight upgrade from this old leather card sleeve. It's made from a durable ripstop nylon canvas material that's rugged enough for trail use and should stand up to my daily use. The Chums Bandit includes a zippered central pocket that makes it perfect for holding loose change or a key. There is also an elastic band on one side that makes it ideal for quick access to things like folded up cash bills, valet tickets, etc. The slim design and small profile ensures this wallet is comfortable in the back pocket. I was initially worried about sitting on the zipper since it protrudes a bit but when closed the zipper tab sits near the top of the wallet and doesn't press against your body when you sit down. Overall it's a fantastic upgrade for me and is a considerably versatile choice if you prefer a more minimalist, slim wallet.

This is a great, well made wallet if you want to carry your ID and a few cards. It has a nice elastic band for cash, or additional cards, a zippered pocked, and 4 card slots. It gets pretty tight if you try to put more than one card per slot. Great if you want something small that you can throw in a front pocket, bag or while traveling.

I keep switching between trifolds, bifolds, and "minimalist" wallets. Bi/tri are just too large to keep in the front pocket and minimalist wallets I either can't access stuff without a struggle or it simply doesn't fit enough. What I love is that it has card slots, it has a band for my cash, and it has a pouch to store stuff in! I have my credit cards on the 3 slot side, my ID/insurance/cash on the other, and the pouch has membership cards like Costco or today I put my parking garage ticket in it. I like the red/brown color combo of the wallet! It also feels very high quality and most importantly I don't have a weird buldge in my front pocket when I stuff it in there with my fold 5. I absolutely love this wallet, and I don't think I'll be switching up anytime soon!

First off, this is not the wallet for you if you carry around 10 credit cards, a wad of cash, and all the family members insurance cards. It is, however, perfect for the minimalist who has 1 or 2 payment cards, 1 insurance card, a few business cards, and a few bucks on them, like me. The only thing that I didn't like is that the front pocket was very very tight to get my card Into. I had to almost force it in. Luckily the seams were strong enough and it stretched just enough. I attached a photo with my old wallet to show the comparison in size. Overall I like it. Perfect for male or female who just needs the essentials on a day to day basis. If you carry alot of cash, I would suggest perhaps another Chums product because this one does seem to be well made. Thanks!

This is a great wallet that holds a lot more than I figured it would. I could fit my driver's license, two health insurance cards, 2 debit cards, one credit card, and 2 store cars in this wallet. It also has a handy band on the outside to hold cash. One of the best things about this wallet is the middle has a zipper compartment. That way you can secure cash better if you aren't comfortable with it in the band or you can fit more cars inside if you run out of card slots. I love the colors on this wallet too! The materials are durable and this wallet should last a long time. The design is perfect and is not bulky in my pocket.

If you only need to carry around a few cards and a little cash, this is an excellent, well-constructed wallet. Real-world durability will take some time to determine, but the stitching appears to be high-quality as does the zipper. The zipper is a nice touch, so you can store coin or other small items without fear of them falling out. It would have been ideal to have the RFID protection built into the wallet, rather than relying on the included RFID blocking card which takes up already limited space. I would avoid if you feel you need RFID protection, as there are other minimalist wallets available that integrate that feature better.
