I ordered this twice. The first time I received it, through trial and error with my Cricut I learned to set my machine for Adhesive Foil and for pressure - I selected More. It wasn't difficult to weed and I had an intricate design. I needed some more and ordered another 6 ft roll. This time, it felt a little thicker, didn't cut well and was a pain to weed. What I realized is the 2nd order had a protective film on top. The first order did not. This film should be peeled off before working with or cutting the vinyl. Once I peeled it off - the rest of it cut and weeded fine, just like the first batch. I would buy this again.

UPDATE: The seller went above and beyond to contact me about my concerns with this product! They even went as far as sending me a new, undamaged roll! No bends, no air bubbles, and a very nice color! I highly suggest dealing with this company as they are very concerned with customer satisfaction! ..... I bought this by the request of a customer who wanted holographic vinyl. So far, I'm VERY unimpressed. The roll was wrapped in a shrink wrap type film and shipped in a bag. The edges of the roll were pretty banged up, wrinkled, and folded over. I'm sure this happened during shipping, so I'm not holding the seller accountable. But, I noticed a similar review so the seller is aware of this issue and should probably reconsider packaging for shipping. When I took everything out of the packaging, I had an issue with air bubbles under the vinyl. Again, probably not the fault of the seller. Just seems to happen with rolled vinyl. I smoothed it out and it seemed to be okay at that point. I will say this material cut and weeded fine, no issues there. But there is an overall flimsy feeling to it. It's very thin in comparison to other vinyls. When my customer went to apply her decal, she had a hard time removing the vinyl from the backing with transfer tape. An issue I had myself, but in a sense I was okay with this because in turn I figured this meant the vinyl would hold well to the surface it is going to be placed on. NOPE! The vinyl just would not adhere to ANYTHING! Only portions of it even felt sticky at all. Mind you this was a large cut with more than enough surface area. Thankfully, I forewarned my customer that I had never used this vinyl before and couldn't guarantee it. I don't suggest purchasing.

Another use for this metallic gold vinyl. One of my guitars had a chip from shipping and although I tried to touch it up, it's impossible to match the original finish. I was using some markers and the area kept getting a little larger, so I had to stop before It got out of hand. I considered a sticker, but couldn't find one that would look right. The gold vinyl gave me an option for "a gold sun with rays" that matches the gold hardware on the guitar. The vinyl was easy to cut and work with. Seems to holding very well and the sun may be interrupted as part of the design or a decal to cover up a bad area. Either way, the guitar looks much better. Rock On!

I wish that I had tried it out 6 days before this because I would send it back. I bought it for a baby shower. It cuts great if you take the protective plastic off the top before you cut it. BUT it is THIN and you can't do any kind of thin script font with it. It will twist and turn. And then, it wont stick! I clean the surface with rubbing alcohol, etc. its completely clean and it will NOT stick. This is for a baby shower for a friend and I'm making wine glasses. I should have read more reviews on it and TRUSTED them. Do NOT buy this if you want it to stick.

Very thick it has a clear coat on top. I had to read some of comments to know I needed to take that off and I wouldn't have so much fight trying to weed.. I did have very difficult time with it due to it being so thick hard to cut and weed, but after trial and error I figured it out and it has stayed on my cup has not lifted at all after many washes. So yes worth money.

Cricut User: Okay, my bad, I didn't dig into the reviews enough prior to purchase... Not making that mistakes again. Anywho, this stuff is great if you're looking for something more akin to Contact Paper, but I absolutely cannot recommend it for any cutting device unless you're an absolute expert on your own or finesse the dials precisely as some of the other reviewees have noted. There absolutely IS a clear film layer over the metallic layer, but the back has a nice grid, so again, great for something akin to Contact Paper, I used it to cover up some planters & I absolutely love it! It's definitely worth buying, just be absolutely prepared! Also, DO NOT remove the film to make it "easier" to cut with a machine, huge mistake! The material is light & the paper it's attached to is flimsy as hell. Everything shifts like crazy during a cut if you do so & for the love of god, do NOT put this paper side down on any of your grip mats, it will ruin them.

I’d like to consider myself an experienced user of different vinyls. I run a small business and this Hass to be the most difficult I’ve worked with thus far. I’ve seen so many positive remarks about this kind of oil and was really excited to use it for some custom orders but unfortunately I just could not get it to cooperate. The vinyl had streaks running through it as if the paper had shifted from its holder and re-stuck in an on flat position so I had to find a portion that I could use that was not affected by the displacement. Once I found a flat smooth surface of vinyl from the wall I try to cut on multiple settings, I need to remove the protectant film over the top thanks to the previous reviews but found that no matter which setting I would cut this on each cut was unsuccessful. The biggest problem I ran into was the vinyl wouldn’t weed properly. The next problem I ran into is majority of the vinyl roll was damaged. I’m assuming this happened from shipping and not the retailer? But unfortunately I won’t be purchasing again .
