I like that there were a couple of coop ideas and plans to follow. I guess your imagination can expand on those, but I wish he would have added a plan that allowed for a human door to be added for easy cleaning.

It's probably my fault for not reading the reviews more carefully, but this "book" was nothing more than a brief compilation of existing information found free on any decent backyard chicken website. I was actually hoping for some real plans to build my coop. Guess I'll have to look elsewhere...

Got this for my mom who suddenly got a wild hair about raising chickens. She said it had lots of good information, but it was a little hard to read on her iPad. (Though that could entirely just be a user issue lol). When I asked her to rate it, she said 4/5. Cause "It was just missing, 'something' in the writing." She's hard to please though, so just take that with a grain of salt. ... show more

A great guide, my family has owned chickens for years so I've always grown up around them. One thing I sure hated though was our coop. It stunk when it rained and was not safe at all, always had snakes getting in. This guide provides you with everything needed to house your feathered friends safely and also in a pleasing to the eye way. I'll definitely be using a design out of this for my first coop.
