Love these jeans. I am 5'4, 201lbs, more tummy than I like. I bought size 16a and they fit perfect. Do not go by the picture. They fit so much better than shown. They are not leggings. The legs are fitted but not too snug to look 'tacky'. I have had them about a month. Washed several times. No shrinkage. So comfortable. Sit at my waist just the way I like them. I do not like the low rise pants. I ordered 2 of the medium denim. I went back and ordered a pair in the black and tan. I would like to have the light denim but it isn't listed. I have been losing some weight and plan on ordering a couple of 14a for encouragement! They would probably fit now but maybe a little to tight for my liking. I highly recommend this pants. The reviews I read that said they were leggings I think where purchased too small. Also , the leggings I have gotten are a lot thinner and of a different fabric. I think the weight is perfect. Not so heavy they take forever to dry and also not too thin. The length on me is a little longer than in the pic, which I also like. Without shoes they hit the floor. However, I like them to his the top of my shoes with a little to spare and they do just that. I hope Chic will continue to make these and Amazon will continue to carry them. So many times I find something I really like but find it has been discontinued or changed. I am ordering a couple more just for that reason! By the way, I an 73 years old. Don't be afraid to get these if you are as ancient as I am!! They are not 'teen 'jeans. I wear long tops, blouses, tunics to cover my aging belly so these look no different than Jeans with the zipper/button that take forever to squeeze into and I find very uncomfortable at my age. Now that I think about it they never were comfortable!! Hope this helps you make a decision to give these a try. I spend hours looking at products and depend a lot on reviews that I am never sure sho really wrote them. This review is an honest assessment of these pants by someone that doesn't usually write reviews. I purchased these pants because I like their casual , relaxed look. I wanted a pair of pants that were cotton elastic waist, not too tight or loose. I am 74 weigh 142 lbs, and am 5’3’. I have been wearing skinny jeans or palazzo pants. The skinny pants work well with an oversized shirt which I’m tired of wearing and the palazzo pants the same. These pants fit he bill. They are classic looking but not dressy. I usually take a size 14 but I ordered up and they were too big and too long. I echanged they for a size 14 and they were true to size perfect . With the price, material quality, and classic look, i would not hesitate to recommend these pants ... show more

Thought I would try an elastic waist jean since it is getting uncomfortable for me at 72 to wear the zipper and buttons anymore. These are very nice quality fabric and washed up great with no wrinkles. I wear a 16 so ordered that. They fit nicely at the waist but the belly area is so deep and large I could almost fit another ME in the area. I have rolled up the waist belt and it does help and thought about taking them up but would just mess up the look I think. Very nice casual jean that fit me perfectly (5'7/185 lbs.) - the best part is the inseam is long enough! Very flattering style. I've had trouble with pants running too short the last few years and with these that is not the case. Very reasonably priced. 5-stars all the way!

The jeans are to high on the waist. I have to roll the waist band down once. I’d get petite but they’d be to short. I like them, but don’t like rolling the waist band down in front. Nice jeans, they are comfortable.
