I owned the heavy twill ones fir years now, and while they are nice during the cooler months, I needed something for summer. These are light weight and very breathable. I like the fabric covered buttons, they make the shirt look really nice, like I should be cooking at a fine dining spot or something. They so run a little big, they do shrink a little bit in the wash, but not anything crazy. I'll give an update after a heatwave.

Light and airy
I bought this for a chef friend. He loves it! It's light so it's great while cooking and he loves the vents. His originally vented in the back and this one vents on the sides. He likes this one better. His originally was black... and he loves the red. He wears an xl... and this one fit perfectly. There are pockets on both sleeves and not one on the chest. But he likes it. Over all... super great find!

Looks Good but a Bit Wrinkly

I bought the Chef Code Chef Coat in dark gray, and while it looks nice and fits well, I’ve noticed it tends to wrinkle around the collar, which can be annoying. The material is soft and lightweight, but not as stiff as I expected, so it doesn’t hold its shape as much as I'd like. The side vents are a nice touch, and it’s breathable, which is great for long shifts in the kitchen. Overall, it’s a solid chef coat, but could be a little sturdier.

Great shop smock for the money

I bought 3 of these to use a shop smocks in my woodshop. The mesh sides offer unrestricted movement and ventilation. It's great when I'm working on the lathe. Wood chips don't cling to it and the high front keeps the chips from getting under the shirt at the neck. There's even a narrow vertical pocket in the left sleeve for my pencil! Lol Much cheaper than a wood turners smock. Love 'em!
