  • Great Chef Coat That Feels Comfortable In The Kitchen....And I am Loving it
Size: 3X-Large Color: Black
Because the black chef coat has become one of those pieces of clothing I reach for without thinking when I know I will be in the kitchen for a while. I found the three X large size and it fit me in a way that felt relaxed but still neat. I had a couple of minor typos in my notes when experimenting, due to me moving around the kitchen too fast, but overall it is a good experience. The material is lightweight and comfortable. I was wearing it during a long home cooking session, flipping back and forth between the stove, the oven and the prep table, and the coat never felt heavy nor too warm. Short sleeves are a big help because I can move my arms freely without becoming restricted. The fabric seems smooth and it didn't bother my skin even after wearing it for two hours. It doesn’t feel stiff, which I also appreciate. When I reach for pans or lift trays, it bends and moves with me. The buttons are user-friendly and never budged, all the way through. I didn’t have a problem with them coming loose. The stitching appears solid, and the seams are strong. I tugged on the sides a little while adjusting the coat with my fingers and nothing felt weak. It's also a nice touch the pockets. I used one of them to keep a tiny thermometer in place while adjusting the coat, and it holds up without falling out. I was also wearing it while baking, and it took flour and small splashes easily. I cleaned a bit of sauce off in front, and it slid off. The coat retained its shape and did not shrink after washing it. The color did not change and did not fade. I hung it to dry and it seemed smooth enough that I did not need to iron it. I didn’t expect that, because wrinkles don’t always take up my time. The fit feels comfy for someone that moves around a lot. I picked up pans from a high shelf and got the coat, which didn’t pull or feel tight. I took a step back to check the oven too and the coat remained in place without riding up. The collar is sitting correctly and doesn’t just graze my neck. I wore it at a little get-together where I cooked for friends at a party and it seems clean and simple but not overly elaborate. I also tried it out on a short outdoor cooking session on a small grill. Even in warm weather, the coat felt light and I did not feel overheated. In that case, the short sleeves are helpful a lot. A bit of steam hitting the fabric from the grill helped the fabric dry quickly. I wiped it down and continued cooking without issue. The coat feels like something I can apply to different environments. I used it in my home, in a small kitchen space at a friend’s place and even during a baking session when I was balancing mixing with decorating. It remained comfortable the entire time. The length is good too. It covers enough without seeming too long. And this chef coat has been a really nice addition to my kitchen kit all around. It is lightweight, comfortable and convenient to move in. The texture is comfortable to the skin and pockets are helpful. If you need something easy and neat that actually works for you, for cooking, baking or every kitchen thing, this coat has worked great for me. ... show more

  • Looking good while I'm cooking good Looking good while I'm cooking good
Size: Large Color: White
I am a Vine Verified Reviewer, but that doesn't mean that I'm here just to shill and whisper sweet nothings for free product. I only choose that which I am quite knowledgeable about, and only give my truthiest of truths. So with that in mind, let's dig in! The material Is pretty decent. feels much like many other professional linens that I have worn. Decently durable and I haven't run it to pieces yet. It's nice and lightweight and I don't get too hot in it. exactly like what you expect a chef to look like. The fit is a bit on the large side, so keep that in mind when ordering. I'm not gonna show you a picture of me in it,'cause nobody wants to see that. ... show more

  • Look like a top chef
Size: X-Large Color: White
Whether you work in a restaurant or just want to look like a top chef, this is the coat for you! This lightweight chef jacket is made of a comfortable and breathable material to help you keep your cool in warm/hot environments. I'm a backyard BBQ "chef" and this not only makes me look professional, but it also keeps the BBQ smoke off my clothes. The fit was great and the polyester/cotton blend material has good strength and durability. Being machine washable makes it easy to clean. Look professional at your next cookout. ... show more

  • Chef's garment disappoints me Chef's garment disappoints me
Size: XX-Large Color: Black
I acquired this TOPTASK Black Chef Coat with hopes of giving it as a gift, but because of the marginal quality, I would be embarrassed to do so. The product details are confusing and I don't have a clear vision of what I have here. Some of the details call it a coat, while others call it a jacket. At best, in my humble opinion it is a shirt in the style of a chef's coat. The fabric is a lightweight blend of 65% polyester/35% cotton. While the blend is okay, 50/50 would be better. But my main concern is the fabric is not thick enough, and therefore, not durable enough to offer safety and protection from burns and spills. Product details say there is a breathable mesh on the back for effective moisture wicks. But the back fabric is exactly like the front fabric - there's no mesh anywhere. I even took a flashlight to it, thinking maybe my eyes were missing it, but it's just not there. Product details also say the "coat" is cut wider through the chest and sleeves, but I can't verify this because product details don't offer sizing information. I can tell you that I measured the XXL and found the garment measures approximately approximately 53" at the chest, while the sleeve is 11.5" long, measured from the shoulder seam. From my knowledge, the cut of this garment is more average than "wider." Product pictures seem to match my assumptions. This fabric is NOT easy care. It's a wrinkley fabric. When I gather it in my hand, squeeze and let go, the wrinkles remain and the smooth fabric doesn't bounce back. The fabric care tag says you can use a steam iron on it, if you want to do that much work. Actually, due to a translation error, it says you can use a "stream" iron. Product details say it is machine washable, but the fabric care tag recommends hand washing and line drying. Again, that seems like a lot of work! Finally, this was obviously made at a factory that sews other things. The black "coat" had several tufts of red threads, and also some white ones, clinging to the garment and making the overall effect sloppy. That's a bummer. I see a wide variety of chef's coats and a wide variety of pricing. This garment is fairly, but not the least, inexpensive. One positive note? This garment comes with an extra button! ... show more
