It is well designed and sturdy. I like how the strap is adjustable and comfortable. I took off a star for the front pockets - while handy, the lack of fastener does detract. My 14 year old bought this bag to use for school this year, and he's very happy with it. The top zips to help keep things safely inside, and there are plenty of pockets to help with organization. His tall skinny water bottle fits in the outside pockets, which are deep enough to keep it from falling out. The shoulder strap could be a bit longer for wearing crossbody, but it works.
