I read a number of reviews claiming mask was too small or narrow. But, what most people I bet didn't do is BEND the mask to the shape of the players face. The metal used in the mask is malleable, as are most fielding masks. I sold these masks for years and that's how you get them to fit closer to the face and rest on the forehead. The velcro used on the chin cup could be better but for know it works. Once the velcro gets dirty I'm sure the chin cup will fall off easier. Great product for the price. I shopped around and this one was just what I was looking for. Fits fine, easily adjustable, and allows for great vision when I'm on the slow pitch pitchers rubber. My one complaint is on the front of the mask, right above where you look out, it says "Champion." So imagine my disgust when, on the very first game I used it, we got pounded 18-3. I'm sending this back IMMEDIATELY!!!! ;-) ... show more

I am not pleased with this product. We purchased this for our 9 year old daughter and it does not fit her. It is supposed to fit a children under the age of 11/12. We have attempted to adjust the mask multiple times and no luck. It does not sit correctly on her head and is very loose. We have not been able to get a tight or secure fit. Therefore, she has been unable to wear this mask for softball. It just appears to be too small for her. I have attempted to contact the company for customer support with no response. This fits my 10 year old daughter weirdly. It will only stay on if she has a high ponytail to put through the ponytail spot in the elastic straps. I think the part that is supposed to go around her forehead is too small for her head.

Perfect for 8 year old softball player. Initially thought a lighter plastic mask. Daughter was not digging the style after showing up to first practice and seeing a more colorful stylish option. We found this one for decent price, good reviews, except for weight. Read it's a bit heavy. Maybe it is compared to another material, but my daughter loves the color, the adjustment straps, and does not complain about the weight of it ... show more

This may look like "rip-it" brand, but doesn't fit like it. This one slides around in a way that has everything to do with the metal shape and nothing to do with the adjustable head straps (tried everything with the straps). Copies just aren't the real thing... The reviewer who said he bent his to fit right must be the "hulk" because I am pretty strong and couldn't bend it. I didn't try stepping on it and bouncing - maybe that would have reshaped the thing to be more like my daughter's rip-it. I donated it to the school team anyway figuring maybe someone could use it someday. ... show more

The mask itself is good quality and seems very durable. Now for the negative, I did order a “like new” but used mask. I typically order from Amazon warehouse without issue however this mask still had someone’s name in sharpie on it. I kind of assumed a lot of the warehouse items are returns and not worn/actually used items. I probably would’ve just paid the extra for a brand new one had I known this and feel it shouldn’t have really been described as “like new” because of this. Again, I get it I did order a “used” item but I still found it odd. Haha ... show more
