I wore this for the first time on a hot, humid June afternoon fishing the coastal waters near Corpus Christi, TX. The temperature was 92°F with 86% humidity (real feel temp was reported at 101°F). This top worked great, as good as any of my "designer fishing brand" tops costing twice as much! There was a moderate wind which allowed the top's material to efficiently wick away sweat. I am a big guy at 6'3" 375 lbs and I normally wear a 3xl but this 2xl fit fine. However if you prefer a loose fit, order true to size. The only thing that would make this better is if it had thumb holes to better provide wrist coverage.

I recently received the Champion Men's Sun Hoodie Long Sleeve, and it largely meets my expectations for a lightweight sun shirt. I particularly like the thinness of the jacket, which is precisely what I was looking for in a UPF 50 sun shirt designed for UV protection. It feels comfortable and is clearly built for activities like fishing or swimming where minimal bulk and breathability are key. The quality of the garment is good, consistent with what one would expect from a well-known brand like Champion. However, there's one minor design aspect that I find myself missing: the absence of pockets on the sides. I just naturally want to put my hands in pockets there, and their omission is a small inconvenience. While not a dealbreaker for its primary function as a protective sun shirt, it's a feature I would have appreciated for added utility and comfort. Overall, it's a good quality, protective, and lightweight sun hoodie from a reputable brand, ideal for its intended use, but the lack of side pockets is a notable oversight for personal preference.

I actually really love this as a casual lightweight long sleeve top. It's not very thick, but fabric quality feels nice, so it's perfect for those days where it's not cold, not hot but you just need a extra light layer for comfort. Based on the description, it seems like its meant to be suited to activities where you're in the sun a lot like fishing etc. I don't particularly have any plans to test that, but I can totally see how it would be useful. Could also be really handy if you find yourself a little red from the sun and need a way to protect your skin. I also see myself probably using it for the gym too. Love the lightweight fabric and the softness. It's super comfy and just nice to wear around the house too. I got the white and am very happy with it!

I often go snorkeling or to water parks, and I have skin that burns with the slightest prompting, so over the years I've gotten used to wearing "swim shirts" to help protect me from the sun while swimming. I have them from several different brands, but my favorite is from Columbia. This is a pretty good shirt, but be aware the sizing is way off. I normally wear an XL, and on some brands I'm pushing 2XL. I ordered an XL in this and I am literally swimming in it (no pun intended). It is very large. At least one size up over standard shirt sizing. I might understand if this was something like a jacket, designed to be worn over other clothes, but it is clearly be marked as a rash guard / swimming shirt, which should be fairly tight to as to not get in your way while wet.

I bought this sun hoodie for long walks and working outside, and it’s become a go-to piece for warm weather. The material is light, breathable, and dries quickly, so even when I’m sweating, I don’t feel soaked. It’s great for cutting down on sunscreen since the long sleeves and hood give decent coverage. The fit is slightly athletic—not super tight, but not baggy either. I liked that the sleeves had thumbholes, which helps keep them down if you’re moving around a lot. I’ve worn it hiking, at the beach, and even just running errands, and it always feels comfortable. A couple of small things to note: it doesn’t list a specific UPF rating, so if you’re really focused on sun protection, keep that in mind. Also, while it’s great in the sun, if you’re in the shade or the air is super humid, it can feel a little warm. Overall, though, it’s exactly what I wanted—lightweight, protective, and easy to wear. I’ve already washed mine a few times and it’s held up great with no pilling or fading. Solid buy.

The shirt is amazing. I love the paint color. It is very flamboyant. I would definitely recommend getting this if you spend time outside like I do. I go fishing all the time and I’m always cooking on the water. This does a great job of keeping the sun off of me and making it so I do not have to use sunscreen. It is very breathable and I also has a really nice hood so it keeps my neck and ears protected as well. This is definitely a great purchase for the money and it is an amazing brand. It is very functional and you should definitely check it out.
