My original arm rests had started splitting. I was excited to see that there are options to keep this trustworthy Aeron chair in tip-top shape, and these replacements did just that. I saw a few listed so spun the wheel and landed on these. They're not quite a 'spongy' as the original arm rests, but they're soft, they fit PERFECTLY, and they're comfortable and look great! Installation is a breeze with just two screws per armrest needing to be removed, and they work perfectly. For <$25 you can't beat these! No smells or weirdness (I saw that in some of the other reviews and products) and they came really well packaged so very unlikely to get damaged in transit. Some people complained about fit or strong smell, but these fit perfectly on my chair and no smell was noticeable. They were a welcome upgrade to the armrests on my Aeron chair that had become rock hard after many, many years of use. Well worth the money and very comfortable. These arrived with a very strong chemical smell. It's concerning how strong the smell was. After letting them air out in my shed, I was able to install them. The fit perfect and are a good replacement except for the terrible smell. Hopefully they aren't toxic

I’m finding it very comfortable. It is firm yet not hard. There is a denseness to it. That’s good. It’s going to retain its shape. I don’t find the surface to be rough or irritating to bare skin. I would consider it to be an upgrade to the original armrest on my Aeron.

I noticed that chemical out gassing smell coming from the pads, so I wiped them off with rubbing alcohol and the black dye kept coming off on the paper towel, over and over. Do not buy.
