  • Sturdy and Stylish Flip Flops
I wanted to get some durable flip flops since my old pair broke. I did a quick search and found these black flip flops and I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed with their quality, comfort, and style. From running errands to casual outings, these flip flops have become my go-to footwear choice. Firstly, let's talk about sizing. I typically wear a size 9 and quickly ordered a pair. It turns out these run small, not covering my whole foot from heel to toes and it was difficult to get my foot in without using my fingers on the straps. I returned the 9 and ordered a size 10. The size 10 fits me perfectly although still a little tight on the straps. So, I highly recommend considering ordering a size larger than your usual size to ensure a comfortable fit. Now, onto the good stuff—durability. These flip flops are built like tanks, and that's not an exaggeration. The straps are made from material that feels remarkably similar to car seat belts, which not only adds an adventurous touch but also ensures they can withstand whatever life throws at them. Whether I'm strolling along the beach or tackling everyday tasks, these flip flops hold up exceptionally well, showing no signs of wear and tear. But durability doesn't mean sacrificing style. These flip flops boast a sleek and modern design that effortlessly elevates any casual ensemble. The all-black adds a touch of sophistication, while the rugged straps give them a hint of adventure—a perfect combination for a guy like me who values both style and substance. In terms of comfort, I have no complaints. The cushioned sole provides ample support for my feet, and the wide straps prevent any discomfort or chafing. Plus, the soft lining adds an extra layer of comfort, making these flip flops a pleasure to wear all day long. One more thing I can add is that the tags are placed on the inside of the strap, so you will feel it when wearing it. It did feel awkward like something was there that shouldn’t be but I’m ok with it now. In conclusion, if you're in the market for a pair of flip flops that are as durable as they are stylish, look no further. Just remember to size up to ensure a perfect fit. These flip flops have exceeded my expectations in every way, and I have no doubt they'll become your new go-to footwear choice as well. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Still worth it
I've been hunting for a good durable pair. Been through olukais, reefs, flojos, and more. These are my second favorite for durability and comfort; first in Bang for the Buck. I work in wet conditions. These are outstanding and never loose grip. These may break at the thong in a couple of years but that'll be longer than my other pairs. For the money, it's a solid bet. Would buy again ... show more

  • Flip Flop Fan Converted
I love flip flops. Don’t care if they are cool or not. If I had it my way, I’d wear them year round (and used to when I was collage in the south). I was a Rainbow fan for life but found that I needed something more waterproof so I tried Keens (because I love their shoes). Great flops but didn’t last as long as Rainbows — still got multiple seasons out of it but not the 5+ I would get from Rainbows. This year I wanted to mix it up. I’ve never had Chaco’s but have heard nothing but good things about their sandals. Figured this would be a good trial. I’m two weeks in and absolutely love them. 1. Comfortable day one, no awkward break in period for me for me. I’ve worn them daily and they just keep getting better. 2. Great with water. I was caught in an unexpected absolute downpour of rain with no rain gear and was able to quickly get to where I was with my arms full of stuff without slippage — impressive for any sandle, let alone a flip flop 3. Looks classic. It’s a flip flop. Can’t write about super long term use but so far, so good. Value/price is great too. ... show more

  • These run smaller than previous Chacos I have owned.
These run smaller than previous Chacos I have owned, compared to my others a new 10 is more like a 9. These are generally pretty comfortable and of the past Chaco flip flops I have had these seem like they will hold up well. This is the more flexible foot bed that usually does better with all day comfort for me (250+lb). My only real concern is that they feel too small for my feet now.. My three other Chaco flip flops that still have a little life in them and various other full sandal styles are all about a 1/2" longer when compared together. So what I have known a Chaco size 10 to be is now totally different. Even though I ordered a 10 this time the size feels closer to a 9 - 9 1/2 with what showed up.. I'm worried about going all of the way up to an 11 just to get that extra half size they don't offer but I don't like that my heels now extend past the backs of these. The whole point of wearing a shoe/Chaco is protection from the ground and if some of my foot is now exposed it really isn't worthwhile. Is this just Chaco trying to reduce a little less per pair but still charge the same? Reef did the same thing with a pair I recently tried out. - my feet haven't grown and I have always been a very consistent 10 with many brands prior. Otherwise, great look and I know they should hold up decently well. ... show more

  • 10 year Chaco flip user pleasantly surprised.
I have been using Chacos Ecotread flips for more than 10 years, and was disappointed to see that they had stopped making them. When I found these I saw so many bad reviews from former Ecotread users that I left them in the cart but didn’t buy them. I ended up buying the OluKai flips, which are very popular as arch support flips. They are nowhere near as durable in the foot bed as the Ecotreads, but comfy and supportive. It turns out that my girlfriend went ahead and just bought all of the random items I had saved in my cart as possibilities, which I may or may not have bought. I have to say I’m actually very pleasantly surprised. I actually like this version much better than the old version that I have been using for years. They are only a little bit softer and they actually cradle the foot a little bit better with a slight lip all around the sandal, like a very mild version of the Birkenstock toe. Not only that, they don't have the soft foam foot bed like the Olukai, but rather a nice supportive rubber footbed that is reminiscent of Ecotread, but a tad softer. I went ahead and bought a second pair just in case Chakos changed their design based on bad reviews. I might even buy a third. ... show more
