I bought this 6mm necklace as a stand-in for my genuine 14kt gold 7mm bracelet and necklace set to wear on a trip to a city with a higher crime rate. After comparing this necklace to the solid gold bracelet from my set, I’m genuinely impressed by how convincing it is. Side by side, the links and coloring are nearly identical. The necklace has the same rich gold tone as my bracelet, and unless someone was holding both pieces at the same time, they’d never notice the difference. Even if they were holding just the necklace, it feels substantial enough to pass as real. The weight is decent—better than I expected—but when you pick up a real gold piece like my bracelet, the difference becomes clear. The only place it falls short is the clasp, which is functional but not quite as sturdy as the real thing. However, when it’s around your neck, no one would ever guess it’s not solid gold. It looks fantastic and gives the same luxury vibe as the real deal. If you’re looking for a high-quality alternative to wear in situations where you don’t want to risk your authentic gold, this necklace is a smart choice.
