  • Works just fine for me...
I purchased two Eero Pro 6 almost two years ago in June 2023. I have an Eero Pro 6E as my main router. I have 500/500 Gigabit fiber internet service. I have it connected to a 8-port switch and connected my extender Pro 6's with ethernet cable (CAT 6E)--which should ALWAYS be preferred! The main router is in the middle of the house and the two other routers were set up on opposite sides of the house. Set up with the two additional Eeros was SUPER easy and SUPER quick. I really can't speak to the negative reviews as I have had absolutely no issues with either (refurbished) device, to include wireless speeds. All my wireless devices (Google Nest, Ring, Alexa, FireTVs, Amazon, Singled, appliances, etc.) have never had any connection issues. My mobile devices switch routers seamlessly with no connection issues either. I consistently am able to stream TV on at least two devices, while my wife is on Zoom (video) calls. TV streams never buffer and always display in 1080p (or higher) and Zoom doesn't have any dropouts and/or otherwise is stable using the highest video resolution available. Speed tests on 100 Mbps devices average >95 Mbps up and download. The 1 Gbps devices average >450 Mbps up and download. I am very confident if I had 1 Gigabite internet, that the 1 Gbps devices would easily average no less than >900 Mbps. These speeds from my ISP have been consistently confirmed by speed tests on many different devices. The connections and speeds around the outside of the house are also solid and consistent, but understandably a bit slower as the signal strength degrades the further one is from the routers. Would it probably be preferential to buy "new out of the box", sure, but these refurbished units have lasted me almost two years now, so I would be more than inclined to buy them again or purchase another "upgraded" product. ... show more

  • Love my eero!
Configuration: eero Pro 6 Router
This was my first eero device I’ve ever owned. I was so used to using the ISP provided routers and I got tired of the lack of customization options they give you. So wanted to get the eero because it seemed jammed packed with features and options to choose from. The setup was a breeze, the app walks you through it with pictures and directions, it’s super fast, I have about 56 devices on my network which it handles them all perfectly fine, I think you can have up to 75 with just one router but the ability to add more eeros on at a later time to create a mesh is great! Tip for anyone doing this though! Make sure if you do add on any additional eero devices as nodes that they are additional pro 6 models or newer because if you add any less capable router into the mix this will prevent the pro 6 from being able to utilize its full speeds and abilities, your output capabilities would default to the older devices techs using that devices max output values which would be a lot lower than what the pro 6 is capable of. This router runs smoothly, updates itself overnight or at a time of your choosing, helps you keep track of devices on your network, allows you to create a separate guest network keeping your main network secure. None of my devices ever loose coverage and my media players don’t buffer and this is using multiple devices at once. Love eero! Will def be looking to get the eero 6e or eero 7 in the future ... show more

  • works great!
Configuration: eero Pro 6 Router
I was not paying attention when I purchased this. I didn't notice it said refurbished. I was a little rushed and needed an extender due to the one I had stopped working. I was pleasantly surprised that this has worked perfectly! I have great wifi! It was easy to set up!

  • Good speed for the refurbished price
Configuration: eero Pro 6 Router
Worth getting if you can get it refurbished and like the Eero ecosystem with its privacy issues and lack of customization. The speed is a big upgrade from anything before the WiFi 6 standards. I've got essentially double the speed or more over WiF as the old Eero Pro; I get about 425mbps+ from 40 feet away and through a wall out of 600mbps total. Also, no issues when I have a couple of TVs streaming 4k in other rooms while I'm working remote. From tech reviews it seems this model may perform the same or better than the 6E version when you have lots of devices connected. It will be slower than WiFi 7, but that's OK as I don't have a fast enough connection or devices that would take advantage of it. ... show more

  • Prefer The eero Pro 6
Configuration: eero Pro 6 Router
Purchased one eero Pro 6 two years ago after researching the options, and after adding a plethora of devices, decided to add an additional Pro 6. I like the tri-band, the two ethernet ports, and ease of setup. It works as a hub or extender, with speeds up to 1 gig. My internet service currently doesn't hit 1 gig, but everything in our home connected to eero is quite fast and reliable. Good speed test results with both eeros now online and connected via ethernet. I'm disappointed the Pro 6 is being discontinued, but happy I was able to purchase a refurbished unit. It arrived in a plain box, however, it was sealed inside exactly like a new eero. Personally don't need the 6 plus or 7 max, as it's currently overkill for most homes. The eero Pro 6 should be adequate for my needs for at least the next decade, if not longer. ... show more
