I'm 46 and I'm not thin or athletic- mostly frumpy with a few mom rolls. I go between a size 8-10. I bought this in sizes 10-12. The bottoms were not a big concern to me since I already have some bottoms I like (but the bottoms did fit very well) I'm not sure what they look like wet, tho.. I'm more worried about the top. I needed something to hold my ladies in, but something that would hide some of my rolls around my stomach/back. The bad thing about flowy tops like this is that sometimes you sit in the water and the flowy parts will float up all around you. Well, this one does do that for a second but there is a nice, snug fit under the boob area that keeps you from being exposed. Once the material is wet, it stays down. It fits well around my boob area and the cleavage area is just high enough that you don't have to worry if you bend over. The material is not so thin that you worry about show-through. (Not sure about the bottoms when wet, tho. I would imagine it's the same) I think this is a very decent bathing suit for the price.
