A great budget bass! Sounds great after getting a professional setup.
This is a great budget buy! Be aware that you will probably spends another few hundred dollars getting it set up properly. My only complaints: * One of the strings broke when my bass was getting set up. * The strap on the case popped off when I tried to put it on my back. The bass hit the ground and got a few nicks. But, for the money, it's amazing. I get nothing but compliments when I play this. It's beautiful.

Not Bad
This brand (Cecilio) has been known as "hit or miss" by my luthier. The package as shown is a great deal, it's shipped from California without the bridge intact. It needs to be set up and tuned. The piece holding the strings at the bottom broke off due to an inferior part. The glue holding the neck was not enough and it came a lose. The neck had to be reglued and sanded down because it had a dead spot when I played a note. Knowing what I know now, I would find something better crafted for my $1200. Other than that, this beast is doing good. I spent $400 on repairs, so in total, we're looking at $1600. "Hit or Miss" I gave it 4 Stars.

It has a good sound played pizzicato and is warm sounding played arco
I knew what I was getting into buying a cheap upright bass from Amazon. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. It has a good sound played pizzicato and is warm sounding played arco. It's not a huge sound, but it absolutely gets the job done.

Update review
My son has had this for going into his 3rd year. The Bass is holding up extremely well. I was so impressed by this I went and bought a Viola from the same company. The shipping was quick and the instrument was well packaged. Have had ZERO issues with this Bass.

It is what it is.
The cheapest double bass on the market and it is just that. Works as advertised but nothing anyone would enjoy playing or having to learn on. Rosin fell apart after 1 use. Bridge needed to be set up properly. Poor glue work on all the joints and minor dings on the exterior due to the instrument being shipped from china in nothing more than a cardboard box and soft case.

great sound and appearance for the price.
Still breaking in. Has good quality sound. Changed strings to supernil for less friction on fingers. Gotten numerous compliments on look & sound.

They are superior instruments for the money
This is the third Cecillo instrument I own. They are superior instruments for the money. I would recommend them to any intermediate player
