  • Sturdy
Size: 10 Color: Black
It's hard to find work shoes that stand up to the work my husband does. These shoes have outperformed other shoes, even workboots! This is his second pair, will definitely order again.

  • Nice design
They have a good fit overall for being steel toe. I find the heel to be lacking in cushion or support not sure which but usually around 4 hours in my heel is starting to ache and let me know that need to swap shoes half way thru shift

  • I have mixed reviews on these shoes.
These shoes tend to feel too small to me in the width department. Length feels fine. I originally tried on a regular and couldn't get my feet in to them. I then ordered a wide version and they do fit better, but I have to wear a thin dress type sock with them. Anything thicker and I feel like my feet are suffocating. What I do love about these shoes is they are very light compared to many other shoes and boots I've worn. I feel if they were a little bit wider, I would absolutely love them, but I already have the widest they make. I also like the look and the styling of them. What I don't like is what I stated above, they seem too narrow, even the wide versons. Also, they state they are a slip resistant sole. Compared to a many other pairs of shoes and boots I've worn over the past 30 years in my profession, they fail in that category. I work on military aircraft so I am always walking on hydraulic fluid, oils, grease, and jet fuel and I would claim they are not very slip resistant. Now, my biggest complaint with my pair of these shoes in the composite toe in my left shoe. It feels like when it was manufactured it was installed cocked or something. It crowds my big toe and makes the shoe uncomfortable to wear. I would have sent them back because of it, but at the time I really needed a new pair of shoes for work. Ironically, because I was wearing a pair of Keens and they were the opposite and crowding my pinky toe so much so it created a sore to the point I couldn't wear them any more. The Keens and these Cats are the only two pairs that I have ever had that have created this type of problem. But I do still like these shoes. Would I buy again, I don't know. They are holding up good so far, I've had them for about 4 months. If you buy them, it would be better to buy in a store so you can try them on, but the prices are way better on Amazon. I paid around $66 for them here, but my local Sears were selling these for over $120. Hope this helps some. ... show more

  • Great shoe, composite definitely touches your toes.
Size: 11 Wide Color: Black
Good fit, excellent support (coming from someone who is 360lbs), good traction. Composite always touches the base of my toes, doesn’t dig in or cut circulation, but I know the composite is there.

  • Really comfortable work shoe
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Black
Wish the shoe was a bit more wide but overall a great work shoe

  • Too narrow at toes
Size: 11 Color: Medium Charcoal
I picked these up in the recent gold box sale, and at first glance, these appeared to be exactly what I was looking for. They're reasonably lightweight, the composite toe seems sturdy enough for the environment I wanted them for, and the sole appears good and grippy, which is important as I'm often up and down ladders and very steep stairwells. This is all at altitude (10k feet) and mountain brain means I need to be sure of my footing. However, I just can't wear these for any length of time. The rest of the shoe fits well enough, but they're a really weird shape internally at the toes, especially on the inside. Both shoes push my big toes outwards, and I can see them being very uncomfortable to wear for any length of time. Steel-toed boots I've worn in the past haven't had this problem, perhaps because the steel cap is physically thinner than the composite, and perhaps because a boot doesn't try to be as streamlined and trainer-like as these. This doesn't seem like an obvious manufacturing fault or anything like that. The toe cap is flush with the inner liner of the shoe, and isn't obviously offset or anything like that. I suppose it's possible they could be crooked, but it seems a bit weird that they'd both be built wrong in exactly opposite directions to cause the same result on both sides. I sent them back (big thanks to Amazon for the free return policy on shoes!) and didn't bother trying a larger size. I did so partly because these are the right length, so a larger size would be a compromise there, and partly because Amazon's recent work shoe deal meant I scored a pair of Timberland ProMen's Titan Trekkers instead; with the coupon they cost a little more than the deal o' the day price for the Cats, but they fit perfectly and seem like a great pair of boots. ... show more

  • Better than any work shoe I've purchased.
Size: 13 Wide Color: Black
This is a great work shoe. I tried two others at a similar price and the CAT are far better. Only downside is the insoles they are extremely thin and recommend getting replacements.

  • Walking on clouds
Takes all of 2 minutes to break these in. Wore them while working at an airport and they stood up to the test. Between using them to reel up fuel hoses to getting Jet A and low lead fuel on them, they were amazing! You are definitely getting teased for the color. You get the last laugh however since these are super comfy! When they say they are wide width, they don't lie! Only shoe I didn't bust the side seam on. Only reason I returned them is because I switched jobs. May just reorder them for when I work on stuff around the house that should have that kind of protection. ... show more
